It had come all too quickly; I had found myself there Monday morning rushing around my room trying to find all my things. Having a cold shower and not being able to find my other shoe had taken key part in my shitty morning, yet I knew there had been more to come. Walking to the front, I heard my mother humming in the kitchen.

"Hey mom, I think I'm about to head off, I have to catch the tram." Looking up from her fry pan she smiled.

"You know I don't like my little girl leaving this house until she's eaten a good breakfast, don't you have to stay for hockey or something? You should have a good breakfast to start the day, just wait a minute and give me a second." I moved back and leaned against the wall waiting. She made her way around our kitchen quickly.

"Here, a nice little breakfast sandwich to get you going for the day." She handed me the sandwich in a plastic baggy and kissed me on the cheek, "And Skylah, no more late Sunday nights." I nodded swiftly and grabbed my keys; walking out of the door. I muffled an 'I love you' before it shut.

Finding myself walking faster and faster the cold winds of fall turning to winter were grabbing at my skin. Pulling my coat closer towards myself I could already imagine the snow falling, a small sheet of white covering everything. It was a beautiful thought. Wrapping my scarf around myself once more I stepped onto the platform of the train. It was a considerably warmer area to be in. It wasn't until I realized that someone had been looking my way that I had taken notice if my surroundings. A girl, with long hair unlike my own was eyeing me up with full intent of talking to me. I put my headphones in quickly with my music on full blast before getting on the train. I sat down in the middle of two older women with graying hair. Both held no emotion, yet while I was sitting they would glance over at each other every few seconds.

My own hiding tactic was useless when the girl who had been staring had come and stood right in front of me hand on the bar above her. The train was packed tightly. She looked down and with her large eyes picking me apart with a weird look in her eyes.

The look bore into my face as I stared down at my phone trying to pick a different song. The train had started moving when I felt a bump and suddenly she landed right into my lap. I was startled when I looked into her eyes. Her face had gone all red. Mine, no doubt was the same. She muttered a sorry and picked herself up from my lap. Admittedly she was quite warm. She looked away in awkwardness.

It was nearly ten minutes until the train had finally came to my stop, walking past her I hiked my bag over my shoulder and walked out. A few moments later she was behind me again, staring with intent. Looking back at her she began going into a daze and was snapped back seconds later.

"I'm sorry about that." I shook my head in reply and said no problem. Turning around I began walking again. "Wait," she pulled at my bag for me to stop.

"What are you doing?" I questioned awkwardly.

"I um, nothing really, I just noticed you, and I was wondering something." She paused, "Have I seen you before? I mean, not in a creepy way, but you seem... familiar."

"I don't really think so; I mean I just noticed you watching me. Like not even twenty minutes ago." I held my coat closed as a strong gust of wind clutched onto my body. I saw my school up ahead. "Well I should get going then, my schools up ahead and I don't want to be late."

"Bye," she waved me off, "and by the way, the name is Nessa." She yelled over before walking away. Escaping from the awkward conversation I ran into the front doors and to my locker. I was quite chilled from the walk and began collecting my books.

"Hey hot stuff, what class do you have next?" I closed my locker to reveal Lexis, the 'Ex fuck' never an actual relationship, just a meaningless hookup, yet for some reason, she decided to stick around. I cringed at her words.
