As a lot of people know, I am a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge geek. (I feel like one anyway.) But even so, I'm not (yet, don't worry) much into Star Wars and LOTR because I haven't seen Star Wars (Well, I saw the new movie and I understood what was going on, I get kind of it) and I haven't read LOTR yet (I watched it when I was little. Like, a baby. But I don't remember so I'm just saying I never saw it.) I'm reading the Hobbit though. I also haven't seen Star Trek or X- Men or Avengers or Marvel.

I haven't seen them because I don't have the chance to.

Maybe I'm not as much a geek as I thought. Dang. But anyway I really really really really really want to get into these fandoms because people have said that they're awesome and shiz. So yeah.

A/N. I feel stupid saying I'm a geek and not being in any of these fandoms. But I am in:

-BBC Sherlock
-You know what? SpongeBob SquarePants is now a fandom. Because I said so. I'm in that too.
-YouTube. Sort of

I'm getting into Teen Wolf, LOTR, the Hobbit, Supernatural, Doctor Who. I haven't read that many of John Green's books, so I'm doing that too. I'm also reading Magnus Chase. There are many many more. And let me tell ya, I love fandoms.
Fandoms are my escape. If you don't have one, I'm recommending fandoms. They may be insane at times, but so worth it.

Those to you who are new to being a fangirl, Hello Sweetie! Here is some advice.

Fandom- 'fanatic domain'. It can be for a ship, show series, book series, plays, YouTube, etc. Basically where everybody fangirls about the things in the fandom.

Ship- two people being together

Shipping- liking two people being in a relation(ship) together. Or friend(ship)

OTP- One True Pairing. Someone's favorite ship. The relationship. Do not insult someone's OTP. If they kill you, it's your fault. (Dan Howell quote)

BROTP- an OTP but not being in a relationship. Only friendship.

Canon- something that is true, in the fandom. Something that is confirmed by the makers of said fandom

Headcanon- something that isn't confirmed but could be true about a fandom

Fanfiction- fiction written about a fandom by fans of it

Fanart- art made by fans of a fandom

Fluff- basically your OTP being adorable

Smut- sex between your OTP

Fangirling- freaking out about something in your fandom. Like fanfiction or fanart

Feels- strong feelings. Usually happy or sad.
