Marie's P.O.V
"For the first few orders, I'll walk you through it step by step. After that I'll let you try some by yourself with me here if you need help, okay?"
"O-okay. I t-think I got it..."
"That's the spirit!" I smiled hugging her slightly. "You ready? We're technically open now."
Avani's P.O.V
I swear. If Marie's gay ass is still moping over Lottie not coming to work I'm gonna scream.
I opened the staff door expecting to see Marie pouting silently at the coffee machine. A soft hum from the coffee machines shook me out of my thoughts to see Lottie there in her apron.
Oookay... I smiled slightly and turned to go back out the door when Marie called out.
"Hey Avani!! Come meet our new worker!" I groaned softly but walked up to the counter. I smiled at the small girl standing next to Marie at the counter.
"Hello, I'm Avani."
"R-robin...."
"You'll do great. The first day is tough but it gets easier. Marie, since you have enough people up here, I'll go in the back with Lottie to help her."
"Okay Avani! Make sure you put on your apron."
"Alright Mom." I smiled before putting on my apron and joining Lottie in making orders. Marie's instructions to Robin fall prey to the sound of coffee machines and grumbles as we try to get the orders out for the morning rush.
"Lilly!!" Marie's screech made me perk up from a daydream.
Isn't it early for Lilly to be here?
"Did you finish the writing assignment??"
"No."
"damn.... Your regular?" My hands automatically start making her order and I smile without realizing.
When did I memorize it...?
"Hey Avani." Lottie smirked looking over at me.
"What?!" I said blushing slightly looking down at her almost done order.
"Don't fuck it up~." Lottie said turning away with a snicker.
"Fuck you." I muttered picking up Lilly's order and walking it up to the counter. My hand shook a tiny bit as I set her coffee down on the counter.
"Hey Lilly."
"Morning Avani!" She said smiling at me widely. "How's your day gone so far?"
"Tiresome, since I came up here to see if Marie's gay ass needed me, then got roped into staying because I couldn't leave quick enough." Lilly giggled slightly reaching to pick up her coffee.
"Thanks Avani."
"Hey Lilly!" I stopped realizing the mistake I've made hearing Lottie snicker in the back. "....Since I technically don't have to be here, do you want to go out and do something away from the coffee shop?"
"Hmm.... Sure!" Lilly smiled and I started to walk around the counter. "I think you might want to put your apron back first though silly." My cheeks flushed as I rushed back to put the apron in the backroom.
"Okay, you ready to go Lilly?"
"Mhm." She said drinking a little but of her coffee. "Do you want to see where I work Avani?"
"Sure?" The bell jingled as we left the store. Lottie came up to the front counter quietly.
"So Mari, how much you want to bet they're dating the next time we see them together?"
"Oh! You're on Lottie!" The bell jingled as another customer walked in and Lottie went back to the coffee machines stifling laughter. Robin smiled slightly, already knowing she loved it here.
