yes because this is necessary. please note the sarcasm. i am tired of seeing videos trending on youtube and on advertisements on the bus and billboards on how people's bodies should be "summer ready" we are teaching boys and girls, men and women, that unless you are a thin white women your body is pleasurable and aesthetically pleasing to the eye, that you have to be a thin white male with a rock hard six pack. this is what we see everyday and are force fed.

i am tired of knowing that my body shape, skin color, and religion can effect how a person feels about me and will define my beauty. many times i am thrown back-handed compliments like
"you're pretty for a black girl"

"you don't really live up to the expectations of a big booty and hips for a black girl"
these are just to name a few. i'm tired of hearing
"i would date you, but because you're muslim you might blow me up"
yes this has been said before.
i am tired of hearing boys and girls call me ugly alike because my hair does not "flow to the middle of my back in waves" or my "butt is not big enough to grab and hold onto" or get this "i would date her but she's not like hispanic or anything."
yes many times i have been shut down because i am not "hispanic or anything" because of stereotypes i am defined as ugly.
i had a dream of becoming a model and actress, but now that society is dominated on finding ultra skinny, pale skinned women, i knew i couldn't, and won't, be able to do what i love and be the person i want to be.

with people feeling shitty and hating themselves, killing themselves, society will continue to grow and keep putting down people because of their race, body shape and size, and religion. until we shut down and rise against things like this, we can free ourselves from seeing stick thin, blonde, Victoria Secret models, and more diverse Victoria Secret models. until we all feel comfortable in our own bodies and learn to love ourselves, we can make what is perceived as "beauty" diverse and realistic.
