The Wand Of Danger...

The box made a "Click" sound and opened.

Inside it was a black wand with a red Ruby on it, the Ruby was in a shape of a diamond. Connor immediately closed the box.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Selena asked.

Simon was concerned. Connor closed his eyes, sighed, and open his eyes to Selena and Simon. He looked at Fran with a worried expression, then looked back at Selena and Simon.

"I-It's just that -Connor stuttered-...I had a...this wand shouldn't have been found and I think it'd be best to keep it hidden"

"Listen, calm down, I don't know why you are acting like this but give me the box" Simon said.

Conor slide the box to Simon. He walked away and leaned against the wall near the shelves of books. Selena was behind Simon. Simon pulled out the wand from the box and held it on his paws. Selena grabbed the wand away from Simon.

"Ooooooo!" She held the wand in amazement.

"SELENA! YOU CAN SERIOUSLY....get...hurt?" Simon paused.

Selena was holding the wand normally and was amazed on how it was.

"It... doesn't...affect...you...?"

Selena stopped and looked at Simon,

"Of Course Not! It's just a stick with a ruby on it" she said.

"No, it's not like that-that wand has a very great amount of power, and those who hold it, affects them to sorrow, from jealously, and they get overcome with the madness in that wand..."

"Whoa..."
Selena put the wand down but she still had it on her hands "Well...it's...Totally Not Doing It To Me!" she giggled and laugh. Connor kept his eyes shut, he tried to ignore the conversation but he couldn't.

"You know...Simon IS right...It may not affect you now...but it could soon..." he said.

Selena stopped looking at the wand.

"Well...maybe I should take your advice..." She said.

Simon got up.
"That's exactly what I just said!"

"Well, sorry, I don't pay attention to Talking CATS!"

Simon turned around and ignored her.

"Lets get out of here..." said Connor

The kids and the cat then walked out of the room and followed the dark path of ashes back.

"Wait...so how did you two get here? You didn't seem to get hurt..." Conor asked to Fran and Simon.

"Yeah, I wondered that too...I landed by rolling on the hill" Selena said. "And I landed on my rolling down the hill...and was stopped by getting crashed at the wall..." Connor said.

"Oh we um...Well, I used the broom to get down here...Wait Connor don't you have your broom?" Fran said.

Conor looked down, he closed his eyes. "It...broke..." He said.

"Oh..."
"Well then, seems like we are gonna be your bodyguards for now on, on this test" Fran said with excitment.

"Whoa, really!" said Selena.

Connor still had his eyes closed.

"Yup, and if you need help just...scream...I'll be there faster than a cheetah!" He said with a smile.
