Selena's Quest Book #3

Day #2

Selena woke up in the middle of the room. She and Simon were looking for rooms that can be safe to rest, so they decided to stay in a dark, and cold room to sleep. Selena just sat on the floor. The warmth of the fire that Simon made, brought the room warmth. Selena sniffed the air as it was filled with smoke.

"What's that smell?...Food?"

"Correct...it's food"

Simon said as he looked at the food heating on top of the fire. Once the food was cooked Selena grabbed the food as fast as she could once it was done. She was starving, so she took a big bite out of it.

"Whoa, I know that fish is good, but this is way better than fish! What is this?!?"

She said as she kept chewing it.

"Remember how that lady said that there was a lot of rats here?"
Simon said with a smile.

Selena paused and looked at the food, she dropped it and stood up.

" YOU MADE ME EAT A RAT! AHHHHHH!!!!"

Simon ran up to Selena's face and covered her mouth with his paw. They both fell on the floor but didn't get hurt.

"Whmmm-mmm-dommm?!?"
Selena said, uncomfortable with a paw covering her mouth.

"Sh!" Simon hushed.

Simon looked around, left, right, up, and down. He then sighs.

"Hey, next time you shriek...TRY TO AT LEAST think of the enemies!"
Simon whispered.

Selena was in shock.

"Sorry, I forgot..." She scratched her head a little.

"No need to apologize, we need to keep moving..."

Simon got up and walked out of the door, Selena tagged along with him. They then reached a chamber covered in chains. The more they walked deeper into the chambers, the more darker it became. Then the ground shook. Selena and Simon looked down, they then looked up, but once they did, they froze.

An enormous blue dragon appeared. The dragon was covered in stone chains, it had the eyes of a snake, the scales were bright blue, it's tail was sharp enough to pierce through a skull, the dragon's mane was bright, dark red.

Once it opened it's eyes to where Selena and Simon were, it roared.

The roar was so loud, it shook the ground and you could feel its vibration throughout your body, as if there has been an earthquake. Selena and Simon started to run away from the dragon. But the dragon's tail broke one of the table's in the chamber. It then aimed at Selena. Selena looked at the tail aiming and getting to her as she ran. Simon saw the tail.

"SELENA!" Simon yelled out, he pushed Selena out of the way and got hit.

Selena turned around and saw Simon.

"SIMON!" She cried, she stopped running and went for him. The black cat crashed to a white, thick wall and fell down, leaving a huge crack on the wall. The cat stayed on the floor motionless.

"SIMON!"

Selena ran and fell to the floor, to pick up the cat, only having it lying in her arms, she hugged it.

"Simon..."
Selena whispered she then started crying. The blue dragon then took a deep breath of air. Selena looked at the dragon. It's lungs turned yellow, then orange, and red. She stared at the dragon. She removed her eyes from the dragon and hugged Simon. She felt hopeless...there was no use, what can she do? The dragon then open it's mouth.

Fire came out.
