Chapter 16: Trapped

Katy's P.O.V

"Hello, parent of Elizabeth Mayer? " he asks and I nod " well I'm glad to say that she is totally fine and will be set to go home today though please just keep her around a happy & with a positive environment around her. Thank you " He then tells us which room she's in and we go as fast as we can and there she is sleeping.

" Liz you ok?" I ask her as I hold her hand
" I'm fine" she replies in her weak and tired voice.

Couple hours later we all finally go back home.

" Shannon could you stay with us for a while" I ask her " sure thing I'm free all week really"  she says " perfect!"

Once Liz is in bed Shannon and I stay down in the living room just talking and having a movie marathon

" Katy girl you gotta get yourself active" Shannon tells me

" yeah any suggestions for what I should do? I start rehearsals for tour in just a couple of weeks though  "

" go to the gym!"

" yeah I really should lose some weight" I say as I look down at my stomach " no Katy you're fine but you just gotta stay in shape ... For tour. We could go sign up now if you'd like!"

" that's cool with me! Let's go" I say as I get up
" what about Liz?" She asks me " she'll be fine, this place is a hundred percent secure. Nothing to worry about" I say as we head out to my car

It was a calm & quiet drive to the gym. After a while we start our registration papers and so does Shannon which makes me even happier that we'll get to work out together. Though there isn't much we could really do together

" oh wait, don't you think I should get Liz moving? After all I can't always leave her at home. Right?" I say before taking a couple more sheets of paper " yeah great idea" she says while pointing to the sheets

So with that I also get Liz registered in with us and after signing all the papers and answering some questions we leave and go back to my place

" Shannon we didn't leave the door open. Did we?" I say as I realize the creek that's showing from the door " I remember making sure it was closed" she says as she bites her nails. We both stare at each other and hysterically start running into the house and up to Liz's room

I open her room door before Shannon's guest room and the bed was perfectly fixed

" Katy she probably just went out for a walk"

" a walk? She left her phone there's no way she would leave it here and she wouldn't even leave without texting me where she's off to! "

I lay my back against the wall and try to hold back my tears

" Katy I'm sure she's fine. How about we wait down in the living room. I'm sure she'll be here in no time" I nod and with that we sit down in the living room waiting

Minutes later there's a knock on the door and I run to get it. Once I open it, it wasn't who I expected at all

" Maria?" I say in quite shock " h-hi yeah it's me" she hesitates " what are you doing here. I'm sorry it's just, aren't you living with your boyfriend?" I ask her " uhyeah but he dumped me and as you know I haven't got anywhere to go" she says as she looks down at the ground
" come on in!" I say as I make some way "where's Kathy?"  She asks. I ignore her and thankfully Shannon answers her
