Chapter 19: To: Katy...

Liz's P.O.V

We get a ride back to the hospital and once we got there we walk as fast as we can to moms room

" oh wow you two didn't really take long" Shannon says as we walk in breathing heavily from walking so fast " well there wasn't much that we wanted to hear "  I say as Kathy and I sit down and I bury my head into Shannon's shoulder " it's just a matter of time, they'll be back and your lives will change and I could promise you that" she continues speaking about how things will change...

" you think?" I ask " definitely" she says with a smile

I tell her everything he told us starting from what he said when he met his girlfriend at a bar till he said he wanted to wait till the baby is born

I then walk over to moms bed and hold her hand. Gosh her hand was freezing cold. As I start to make her hands warmer I could see her slowly opening her eyes

" MOM!" I gasp as I slowly and gently hug her
" mom? MOM!" Kathy says as she runs over and hugs mom as well " how... are you?" she slowly asks  " don't worry about us! We're fine, how are you? Do your knees hurt?" I ask as she slowly moves her leg

" ouch yeah just a bit" she says with pain in her eyes " you know I heard everything you said last night" she says as she looks at Kathy and I and our faces change from happy to shocked

I look over at Shannon

" woah woah don't look at me I didn't say a thing" she says

" Shannon!! Mom we're sorry we had to! Though this means that you've woken up earlier right?" I say and she nods "Yo Kate I'm sure you're hungry I'll go grab us some tacos" Shannon says as she gets up then walks away

" look mom. I'm sorry we just had to do it and go talk to him we had to!" I say " yeah mom we can't see you suffer and go through all this pain and just sit around smiling as if nothing happened we're in it too mom" Kathy adds
" I'll let it pass this time, just promise me you won't do anything else and never talk to him again"

I look at Kathy and she stares at me " we promise!" Kathy and I both say at the same time " mom what exactly did you hear? " I ask
" umm that you two would be leaving to go talk to him. Oh right you didn't tell me what he told you. Mind if you tell me right now?" She then asks. That's when I realize she doesn't know that's his girlfriend is pregnant with his child. I would tell the truth but for now I guess the best thing I could do is lie and I had to think fast before Kathy would speak and spill out the truth.

" he-uh he said he'll sort things out" I lie and she doesn't say anything back but fiddles with her fingers. Minutes later Shannon comes back into the room with two bags from Taco Bell

" yessss tacos" I say as she comes in and hands over the bag of tacos " eat up before any doctors catch us" Shannon says and we all laugh but it wasn't really a bid deal. A couple hours later Shannon leaves and a doctor comes in just a while after.

" hello Ms.Perry I hope you're doing well. Your results show that you're totally fine but your knees are quite a problem. I assume that you move a lot and the best thing for you to do is to relax and get some therapy at least once a week!" He says " is she able to walk though?" I ask " yes! But it'll hurt for a bit but other than that she's perfect and she will be released from the hospital tomorrow!"

" oh great, thank you"  I say and just as he leaves my phone starts to vibrate in my pocket . I check who it is and it's dad which is really weird but I answer anyways

J : Liz? Hello

L : uhh hey

J : hey tell me which hospital you're in. I need to talk to Katy and I'm sure she'll understand! Just tell me where you guys are
