Rumbles of approval made it's way to me as everyone agreed to what Emily had said. But that was impossible I could not be leader.
"ENOUGH!" I slammed my hand down on the table and looked at everyone. "Being Alpha wasn't part of the deal! It was strictly clear that this was between Carson and Nick I was not part of this choice! In the region it is illegal for the female gender to become an Alpha! Now you have no choice but to choose between Nick or Carson and as if right now I Am in charge so you will Do what I say understood?" The room fell silent and I nodded curtly.
" All say 'aye' for Carson." I spoke softly as the back if my throat hurt from yelling. Four or five ripples of 'aye' went throughout the room.
"All in favor for Nick say 'aye'." I said clearing my throat. More than twenty voices all agreed.
"ITS decided then. Nick is now the new alpha of this pack." I said as my voice cracked. He stood up and cleared his throat and we gave him our undivided attention.
"As the leader of this pack I will make it my first and utmost importance that you and your questions come first. I will try and make things you see or need changed happen. Although I cannot promise you as much as I can do I do swear I will hear you out as best as I can. Your decision is of the utmost importance and so is your personal veiw on things. Thank you all and have a good night." With that everybody got up and left except me. I stayed seated and sighed as I wished I could have taken that position as Alpha... but the saftey if the pack comes first and I could not risk their precious lives over a single position.
