"Oh look who finally decided to wake up." Beau says sarcastically as I walk into the barn.
"Shush, it's only eight." I yawn. I stop walking to finish buttoning my red plaid shirt. When I look up I notice Beau is also wearing one, I laugh.
"Gross I'm matching you." He says.
"We're you shopping at Aropostal again?" I laugh.
"N-no, just shut up and hand me that pale." He commands.
"Yessir, anything else?" I ask handing him the metal bucket.
"Yes, go pick out two riding blankets from the shed, we're herding the Bulls today." He replies. I smile and watch him take the bucket over to the grain bin and to the horses. I walk out of the barn to the little shed behind. I unlatch the door and it squeaks open. I walk in and spot the blankets, I select a blue for me and a grey for Beau.
"Get lost?" Beau asks as I hand him the wool riding blanket.
"Um yes. Have you met me?" I ask sarcasticly.
"Very true." He laughs. "Ready?""Yeah, let's go." I reply.
"This is Memphis, he's a wild one." Beau says handing me Memphis's reins.
"Uh I'm not that experienced, I've only ridden once in like third grade." I say nervously.
"I'm kidding, he's a good boy." Beau smiles and lovingly scratches the horses red mane.
"Which one are you riding?" I ask. He walks over to the wall and selects a purple pair of reins.
"Augusta. She's new very wild. Mister Hays found her roaming on his land and didint have room for her." He shrugs and brushes past me to the stalls.
He comes back out with a timid butter colored mare with a gorgeous black mane. She tries to pull back when she sees me. Beau motions for me to come over.
"You sure?" I ask. He nods, I walk over to Augusta slowly. Just as I start to reach my hand out she gets up on her hind legs and bolts. "What the..?" I ask looking to Beau. He shrugs and chases after her grabbing her by the reins and leading her back to the stall.
"I think we'll have to postpone out ride." He says annoyed. I sigh and start taking the riding blankets back to the shed. I cast my eyes down as I am walking and in my line of vision appears a pair of pink Chacos. I follow the long legs up to an unfamiliar face.
"You must be Jolie." she sneers. I roll my eyes and continue to the shed. "Hey loner girl where's Beau?" she asks.
"You must be Isabella." I say with a fake smile plastered on my face.
"How could you even question it?" she says. I walk past her into the stalls to find Beau. As I pass Isabella she flips her long blond hair into my face. "Oh I'm soooo sorry."
"It's okay I'm used to greasy things." I smile and continue into the stalls.
I walk to Augusta's stall and Beau is undoing her saddle and smiles when I approach. "Hey you have a visitor." I inform him. I jab my thumb towards the door.
"Wh-" he begins when he is interrupted by Isabella pushing past me in the door way. "Why are you here?" he asks her.
"I thought I'd surprise my honey." she says with that she steps into him and pulls him into a French kiss.
"Uh I'm going to go throw up now. I'll leave y'all to it." I smirk stepping outside. "She couldn't leave him alone for a few days?" I whisper to myself.
