The two friends say next to each other as they shared a tall strawberry milkshake. They laughed on and on about the possibilities that might happen in the future.

"When are you leaving?" Jack asked Claire as she took a sip of the milkshake. She sighed and looked up at him seeing his features again that made her stomach flip over and over again.

"I'm leaving tonight" she said feeling the heartache.

Jack sighed heavily. "Why so soon?"

Claire shrugged. "I have work and my wedding is only three months away. There are still a lot of preparations to be made and done."

Jack remembered how she said it was her bachelorette party and he instantly felt jealousy crawling through his stomach. The guy that she marrying was lucky to have a girl like Claire around. Jack really really like her.

"How long have you guys been together?"

Claire smiled. "Two years now. We met in college, but never made anything official. Once we got out of college, we decided to be together."

"And are you happy?" Jack asked.

Claire looked at him strangely. "Of course I am."

Jack forced a smile on his face. "That's great."

Claire felt relived after hearing him say that. They continued to talk for awhile until Claire got a phone call from her friend saying that their limo was on its way back to LA.

"So I guess this concludes our adventure" Jack said as they walked inside the hotel. The cold air surrounded them as the heat of Vegas slowly went away inside the hotel.

"I need your number" Claire said looking up at him as they stopped in front of her hotel door.

Jack let out a small chuckle. "Really?-"

"Yes!" Claire said playfully pushing him. They both smiled at each other for a moment. Jack looked into Claire's eyes as she still smiled at him. He didn't want to loose this girl who had made his whole twenty four hours amazing.

"Well I should go," Claire managed to say, "but here's my number."

She took out a pen and wrote her number on Jack's large hand. When she was done, she planted a kiss on his cheek and said: "Thank you for making my bachelorette party amazing."

Jack felt happy, but unsatisfied with the way she left. He didn't want her to leave, especially with a guy who she was going to marry very soon, but he left anyway and went back to working which was managing the pool and handing people towels.
