Jack didn't call Claire after two days. Jack was on his break from work and Claire was at work going through her files. Claire was a marriage counselor who worked everyday except Saturday's and Sunday's.

Claire sat in her chair going through a couple's file who was miserably failing their relationship. The husband cheated on the wife twice and the wife was suffering from depression.

Claire's cell phone rang and she knew who it was immediately. Her heart skipped a beat as she read the phone number which came from the Las Vegas area. She cleared her throat and took a deep breath.

"Hello?" she squeaked.

"Hey, is this Claire?" said a familiar deep voice.

"That's me!" she said smiling, "Is it you Jack?"

"Oh thank god you remembered me" he said laughing. "I was afraid you wouldn't remember me."

"Remember you? Oh goodness, Jack. I will never forget about you" she said smiling.

Jack smiled as well feeling all warm and fuzzy. "So how was your day?"

So they talked on and on for three hours about life. Claire was looking through her files the whole time, but closely paying attention to Jack who talked about his interests and life outside of work.

"Do you like your job?" Jack asked.

"Yes, I actually do." Claire said with a giggle, "What about you?"

Jack sighed. "Oh hell no. I mean it's only temporarily, but I mean, a pool boy? Really? I could do so much better."

Claire smiled. "What do you want to do after your pool boy stages?"

Jack thought for a moment. He didn't really know what to do. He was always determined to live in the moment, but not since Claire asked, he had no clue.

"I honestly don't know." Jack says quietly, "I try to live in the moment."

Claire's cheeks hurt from smiling too much. She was slowly having feelings for this boy, but what about Sammy? Claire could think of all the possibilities with Sam, but Jack was so vivid about life. Sammy only thought about the future, work, and pay checks. Jack was the opposite. He was carefree, happy, and constantly making Claire laugh.

The more Claire thought about it, the more she wanted to cry and curl up in a ball. She loved Sammy, but something in their relationship didn't really spark anymore.

"Jack- I need to go" Claire said frantically.

"Um yeah sure. Can I call you back later or-"

"I'll call you back tonight ok? Ok bye" Claire said and put down her phone immediately after ending the call.

She felt like she betrayed Sammy after that phone call. These thoughts were slowly surrounding her.

"Do I really love Sammy?" she whispered to herself. She thought about the question over and over again. She just met this boy a little over two days ago and she really liked him.

"I'm slowly going crazy" Claire said to herself. She got up and went straight home thinking about Sammy, but in the back of her mind, she was thinking about the boy who she really liked. And it wasn't Sam, it was Jack.
