Gravity Falls: A Mysterious World

Chapter 1

It was a peaceful morning in Gravity Falls, Oregon. Kip's bright blue eyes opened. She looked at her surroundings, noticing that she was laying next to Dipper and Mabel on the couch. "Dipper..." She tapped him, noticing that he was sleeping. She chuckled and got up, going to Twyla's house. Twyla didn't live too far away so it only took a short while to get there. Kip came walking into Twyla's house like it was her own. I mean, it kind of was but... whatever. She came and woke her up.
"TWYLA WAKE UP, WE'RE GOING TO THE MYSTERY SHACK!"
Twyla bolted right up. "OK GIVE ME A MINUTE I'M GOING TO GET DRESSED." She shouted.
In a few minutes, the girls were headed to the Mystery Shack. Kip and Twyla laughed the whole way there, soon they arrived.
"Hey Dipper!" Kip smiled and hugged him. "Hey Mabel!" She also gave Mabel a tight hug. "So...what's the plan for today..?" Kip said as she made her way to the kitchen to get a soda. As they were drinking their sodas, Soos walked in.
"Hey dudes," he said, "what's going on?"
"Hey Soos!" The kids all said together. Dipper, Mabel, and Kip all ran over to him and gave him a hug, but Twyla stayed back. She wasn't much of a hugger. Because of this, her and Soos made up a secret handshake.
They did it and said, "Boom! Mystery Dudes!" Everybody laughed and Soos joined the kids for sodas.
"Hey! We should go on a little walk through the woods!" Kip called out as she jumped up on the table.
"Hey, I'll come with." Said Soos.
"Mystery Dudes gotta stick together!" Said Twyla.
So everyone got ready for a walk through the woods. Kip ran home and got her fake tail that she loved to wear and Twyla ran home and got her hat that was perfect for the occasion. Kip clipped on her favorite tail that was black and red.
She put on a red beanie and fixed her hair a bit, "Ready, Twyla?" She called outside.
"Ready, Kip!" Replied Twyla. The girls were neighbors. She had grabbed her flashlight in case they found a cave and her camouflage hat. She pinned her crescent moon barrette onto it. The girls walked back to the Shack and found the others waiting. Dipper immediately grabbed Kip's hand, he didn't like losing her on adventures. Of course, everyone awed. Kip blushed and Dipper sighed in embarrassment. Dipper grabbed Twyla's hand with his free one and Twyla grabbed onto Mabel. Kip lead the way and Soos followed behind. A while later, everyone let go of each other and started messing around. Mabel was messing around with Kip's tail. Dipper grabbed Twyla's hat an switched it with his own. Twyla laughed.
"Haha, very funny, Dippy, but give my hat back." She reached for her hat but Dipper lunged and started running down the trail.
"You'll have to catch me first!" He laughed and Twyla ran after him. Kip and Mabel ran after them and left Soos panting for breath after jogging a few steps. They were still close to the Mystery Shack so he ran back to get the golf cart. Kip and Mabel sprinted after them, laughing. Up the trail, Dipper and Twyla were still running. Dipper was fast, but Twyla was faster. She caught up with Dipper and tackled him to the ground.
"Caught you! Now give me my..." Twyla trailed off as she looked up. Above her was a monster, looking hungry. She got up off of Dipper and slowly backed away with him. The monster stood there, watching them duck behind a tree. "Ok Dippy, get that journal of yours out and let's start reading." Said Twyla.
He flipped through a few pages before he said, "Twyla, I can't find anything!" He started flipping through pages faster. They both looked round the tree but the monster was gone. It snuck up on them and attacked them from the front.
Kip and Mabel arrived at the scene, "OH MY GOD!" Mabel yelled. Kip grabbed Dippers book and read about the monster.
"TWYLA GIVE ME YOUR FLASHLIGHT, THE MONSTER IS SCARED OF LIGHT!" she yelled.
"I'VE GOT TWO, I BROUGHT AN EXTRA!" Twyla yelled back. She threw one to Kip and the girls turned on their flashlights.
"GET BEHIND US!" Yelled Kip. Dipper scurried behind her.
"WHAT? NO, I WANNA HELP!" Screamed Mabel.
"NO, MABEL!" Replied Twyla, "GET BEHIND ME, I WON'T LET ANYTHING HAPPEN TO YOU!"
Mabel looked at Twyla before ducking behind her and holding onto her elbow. The monster edged closer and Kip and Twyla pulled out their flashlights. They flickered their lights and it backed away. Then, the monster suddenly swung and Mabel and Twyla. "DON'T HURT HER!" Yelled Twyla. She was about to go for the monster, when Soos came out of no where and drove the golf cart into it. The kids all fell over.
"Woah... go Soos..." Kip chuckled as she got up and walked over to Dipper, helping him up. "C'mon, Dip! Let's go!" She smiled as she hopped into the golf cart with him. The golf cart couldn't hold many people, so Dipper, Kip, and Soos went in it and Twyla and Mabel walked back.
"How you dudes holding up back there?" Soos asked Dipper and Kip. They were cuddling in the backseat and cracking jokes along the way. Soon enough, they fell asleep. "Lovebirds..." Soos sighed happily as he drove back to the Mystery Shack.
