the uncommon occurrence

Chapter 7

Misty ran as fast as she could to get away from Michael so she wouldn't be tempted to turn around. After about a mile or so of running she slowed down to walking pace. She looked up and saw that there were bananas up in the tree. She quickly climbed one and ripped three from a bunch and jumped down. She started eating on and shoved the other two in the bag. Misty walked until she came to a river that had a steady current that wasn't going to fast. She made a raft out of the big pieces of wood that had dropped and tied them together with straw from the banana trees. The raft floated quite well. She brought another piece to steer.

Misty was moving at a much faster pace after this. Pretty soon she saw a little village with mud and straw houses in the distance. When she got over there the villagers welcomed her with open arms. They gave her food and some provisions and she was gone again. Little did she know that one of the queen's loyal workers was visiting a family member. He quickly called the queen and told her the news. The queen was so outraged that she called every assassin she knew to get Misty.

Misty was back on her raft when she noticed that the speed had picked up which meant that a waterfall is coming. She quickly got on shore and pulled the raft up with her.

While she was walking she heard a branch snap behind her. She quickly brought out her sword and was ready to fight. Suddenly a teenage girl, a little younger then Misty by a year or so, with long red hair in two braids jumped from a bush with a couple of knives. She threw one at her with such amazing speed and aim that Misty just barely dodged it. Misty swiftly jumped towards her and hit her with the side of the sword, knocking her down.

"Who hired you!" Yelled Misty as she pinned the girl down.

"The queen!" She yelled back as she struggled to get loose. Misty gave a look of disgust, got off her and started walking away. "Wait,your not gonna kill me?" Questioned the red head girl as she got up. "No why would I?" Answered Misty as she kept walking." Cause I just tried to kill you!" She shouted back. Misty stopped and turned around.

"Look do you want to die?"

"I'd rather die by you than the queen."

Misty thought about this for a minute the she sighed and muttered to herself " I can't believe I'm saying this. Do you want to come with me?"

"Sure were are you going?"

"To the queen."

"What! Why would I go to the person who is going to kill me?"

"Because I am going to over rule her."

"Oh really? And how is that?" She asked in disbelief

"The prince is in love with me and when I return he shall marry me."

"Then why are you all the way out here?"

Misty paused and started to walk again." Because the queen tried to get me killed."

> "So how did you survive?"

> "I befriended the assassin."

> "Oh."

> The two girls walked in silence until Misty said "so you never told me your name." The girl hesitated before she finally said "it' scarlet."

> As the girls walked Scarlet told Misty about how she was kidnapped from her family when she was 4 and forcefully taught how to fight and survive. They also starved and beat her when she wouldn't listen. She finally escaped and she decided to make her business in assassination. Misty grew with tears as she went into great detail of it. After a while they started to teach each other fighting techniques and moves.

> By the time they got to the next village in was near dark. These people weren't as hospitable as the last one but they gave them some food and a place to sleep anyway.

> The next morning Scarlet woke up to the noise of swords bashing together. She quickly grabbed her knives and ran out. She saw Misty struggling to keep her ground with a very handsome and strong man. Scarlet quietly ran up to the man, wrapped her legs around his neck and brought him down with a loud thud.

> "What are you doing!" Screamed Misty as she pulled her off. By now the villagers had came out of their houses to see what was going on.

> " I thought this guy was trying to kill you!" She screamed back. Misty sighed and explained to her that she was just practicing with him. It was still really early and the sun hadn't came up yet so they went back to sleep.

> When they woke up again it was extremely foggy and you could barely see your hand infront of your face. Fortunately both of the girls learned to fight some one with out seeing and how to see in blindness. Once again the two girls were on their way. They were walking peace fully until a large, round object fell in front of them from the trees. The two girls didn't move a single muscle. It looked like they had been frozen in time. The next thing they knew the large object was up in the air and was quickly coming down. The girls didn't even notice it coming until the last second. The girls jumped out of the way and Misty tied a throwing knives to the end of the long rope and the second that the big blob landed Misty had tied it up. Once the dust had settled they saw what the blob was. Turns out, sure enough, it was another assassin and that high jump thing he did was his only attack. This one was a sumo wrestler who got tired of his game.

"Who are you!" yelled Misty once she found his head. He looked up at her with disgust and spit in her face. Scarlet had had enough of him and she kicked the giant body into the lake.
