As the cool air returns the earth begins to change creating a dramatically new and beautiful terrain free for your enjoyment!

It starts off slow, you feel a slight change in the air, mornings are cooler and you find yourself wearing sweaters only to quickly shed the layers as the day warms up. You begin your search for the rare colored leaf hiding among its still green brothers, soon to be cast out as early bloomers often are. It trembles as it slowly descends to the ground. You start to crave pumpkin and apple flavored things. You begin to spend more and more time outside.

The weather continues to shift and the air becomes sweet and gentle. The world cools off with some days so cold you don't wish to exit the warm sanctuary of your home. The leaves change color more and more until only a few have not been banished to the grip of the ground. You hear rumors of frost in the mornings and sleep with your windows closed at night. Anticipation starts to buzz as the holiday season grows near.

The colors have all taken over the trees, winning their constant rebellion against the green. People add the finishing touches to Halloween costumes and you can't drive down street without seeing the decorations in the windows. Your mother refuses to let you leave the house without a sweater on some mornings she even makes you wear a hat. Halloween finally arrives and the children walk up and down the streets, determination on their cold little faces. The candy wrappers lay carelessly strewn around the neighborhood left by ungrateful children.

Thanksgiving comes around when only the few surviving leaves remain in the trees taken down by their own bad government. It gets colder until it is finally possible for water to freeze if left out overnight. A fine layer of snow dust the ground while you and your family huddle inside talking, eating, laughing. You all know winter is around the corner and you thank the Earth for giving you fall as a way to postpone the oncoming storm.
