There are three words that I will never say
Three words that everyone knows
They all speak
Without truth
Without a care
They throw these words
To the wind
They do not understand
Can never understand
There are three words that echo in my mind
Three words that are all I can think of
I hear them
When I sleep
When I wake in the morning
As I am driving by the place
Where it happened
They say
I will get over it
They are wrong
There are three words that I will take to my grave
Three words that I must tell you
When I see you
When we are together
Again
But I will wait
I will take my time
I will keep you in my heart
And mind
Until I can finally tell you
There are three words that I will someday say
Three words that I am biding my time with
I will tell you
When the time is right
When we are united
Finally
Until then
I will keep these words
Protect them
And recite them in my mind
A mantra to keep me together;
I love you...
I love you...
I love you...
