Lullaby

Remember when we were little, and our mom or dad would read us a bedtime story, then sing us a lullaby?

Those were the good days.

When we as children, had no cares in the world.

Then we grew up.

Our parents stopped reading us bedtime stories.

And they stopped singing to us.

What was the importance of those lullabies?

Think of how they made you feel.

When you were scared of the monster in your closet, or when you couldn't find your teddy bear, mommy or daddy would sing to you to comfort you.

Imagine if we had lullabies sang to us now.

When you're scared of the monster in your head, or when you can't find your happiness, if someone would sing us a lullaby, would we still feel comfort?

I think so.

Even if mommy or daddy aren't with you at the moment. Play your own lullabies. Read your own bedtime stories.

Sing yourself to sleep instead of cry yourself to sleep.

Give it one more shot. It's not hard, as long as you're willing.

Remember when we were little and our mom or dad would read us a bedtime story, then sing us a lullaby?

Those were the good days.
