Chapter One
"Beep! Beep! Beep!" "Gah!" I groaned aloud slamming my fist on my alarm shutting it off. Ugh, morning. Sleep goes by too fast. I shifted to my side and grabbed my black framed glasses that sat in front of my alarm beside my small bed. I put them on as i rolled out of the warmth of my covers, as a new visible too bright world greeted me. My feet shuffled against the creeky floorboards of my room as i got ready for yet another day of highschool. Great.
"JAY! PSSSSST! JAY! " "I FOUND YOU!!!"
Ahh and there is that high pitched voice that never fails to bring a small smile to my lips. I turned around listening to our inside-joke of a greeting and found short Carolyn with a smile reaching her large crystal blue eyes and black hair curled around her face.
"I found you." I repeated reaching out to hug her small frame. "Obviously." She giggled pulling away from my arms.
"So whats on the agenda for today? Meet new people? Learn new things? See new things?"
I let out a breathe in amusement. "Ahh...Chemistry, I believe, Great."
I said sarcastically.
"Come on, don't be such a downer, Jay." She replied as she reached up and shook my long black hair around.
"Hey stop that!"
"No!"
"ANYTHING BUT MY HAIR!"
" TOO LATE"
"...You're gonna get it"
I whispered maniacally as she squeaked and slowly stepped back looking up at me, suddenly I lunged forward to grab her but was too late. She ran away laughing aloud screaming "TOO LATE!"
I shook myself off and ran straight after her.

"Ahhhh, crap my hair" I mumbled as i fiddled with my long locks.
"Oh hush up, and stop being such a girl. I'm not complaining and you made me rip my favorite pair of jeans, which I might add, you have not apoligized for!" She replied referring to her skin tight blue jeans that now were ripped around her knee looking better in my opinion. I laughed out loud remembering earlier in the day when I finally caught up to her and tackled her outside makings her knees scrape against the pavement.
We were sitting on my roof, our favorite place to be since we were eleven. I always wanted to avoid civilization, and she loved the outdoor scenery so we compromised and found the best spot to be.
"Hey, I happened to make them look ten times better than before, you should be thanking me." I replied satisfied with myself.
"whatever!" She scoffed nudging my shoulder." And stop obsessing with your hair, it looks fabulous"
" It better look fine." I mumbled
"It does. Now goodbye Mr. Grumpykins " She giggled as she stood up and slowly made her way down the ladder.
" Goodbye Madame" I replied looking down towards her.
" Find me tommorow!" She yelled happily as her silhouette disapeared from my sight. I sighed as I lay down with my arms behind my head looking out towards the painted orange, pink and blue sky as the sun reached the horzion peeking behind the mountains preparing itself for rest.
