Saying that Harry was happy would be underestimating his feelings; something about the decision he made earlier that day was making him feel liberated. He knew for sure that things could go wrong, he had absolutely no idea of which would be Louis’s reaction but he was convinced that letting him know what he was going through was the best thing to do.
He even dreamed about the outcome, thinking that there might have been a tiny chance that his friend felt the same way. But, What way? Harry was uncertain of what exactly, was the meaning of the feelings bugging him then. For all he knew, it could have been just a misunderstanding, confusion or maybe the pressure of the rumours around them.
“Go along with what you feel.” Harry never closed the door to having different feelings about other guys, he never felt them before but he knew that there was a possibility and again, he was fine with that.
His whole self told him that it was time, and he was over excited about it. He stared at himself on the mirror knowing that his life was about to change.
"You look fine, Harry, can we leave already?" Louis asked a little bit annoyed.
"Yeah, let’s leave for partaaay," he teased.
As soon as they walked into the party, they started to blend with the crowd. Harry danced around saying hello to all of his friends and Louis, he sat somewhere with a few friends of his own. Every time they ran into each other they just danced together, joined for a hug and acted all silly, as they always did. Things were normal so far, they both have had a few drinks but they were still perfectly conscious about everything.
"Looking good, Mr. Styles," a female voice caught Harry’s attention, she was a beautiful brunette girl and Harry was sure he knew her from somewhere, but he couldn’t remember her name.
"Hello there pretty," he tried to hide his lack of memory with a friendly hug.
"So how is everything going? I always ask Tom about you," she was absolutely adorable.
"Of course, Tom, that’s where I know you from," Harry felt relieved about the fact that she was not some girl he hooked up with.
"Oh you didn’t remember me?" she wasn’t offended but the look on Harry’s face was something she needed to stare at.
"No, of course I do, I just didn’t remember exactly where from." Harry has always had a perfect way to walk out of every awkward situation with a smile. It was probably something about his dimples, or maybe he was just naturally good at it.
"Hey, it’s ok. I don’t blame you, meeting girls is probably all you do these days," she couldn’t stop teasing.
"Come on, is not like that.”
“I’m kidding, look at your face, H. I just love to see you are still the same,” she blinked an eye and Harry giggled. That was all he ever wished for, he didn’t want any of his success change who he is.
"So what was it?"
"What was what?"
"Your name, please stop,” he begged and they both laughed.
"It’s Eleanor," she finally gave an end to Harry’s silent guessing game.
"Of course, I knew that. I promise I won’t forget this time.” He was right; he wouldn’t forget that name, not for the rest of his life.
Harry and Louis were dancing along the beats of the most popular song of the season. "Come on, bring it down, everybody is watching," Liam whispered at Louis’s ear, he wasn’t expecting that.
