"The Vintage Pub huh?" Harry said out loud, slamming the car door, staring up at a small building. "Sounds rustic." He smiled to Liam who was walking around the opposite side of the black SUV.

"Oh hush styles." Liam rustled Harry's chocolate mop of hair. "You used to be into trying new things. What happened?" Liam smiled, setting off across the street to the diner.

"Oh I don't know maybe I grew up." Harry laughed to himself knowing the comment wasn't true at all, while staring at the ground. Liam was too far ahead to hear the younger boys' joke.

"Well hello there boys, table for two?" They were greeted just inside the door by a smaller girl with wide green eyes. She had long brown hair that stopped a tad after her shoulders. Her skin was a pale shade, her face dotted with freckles. Harry thought she was honestly quite adorable in a sense, but she clearly didn't come across as his type.

"Well 'ello to you to haha." Liam laughed nervously, turning his head around to Harry, bugging his eyes. Harry smiled.

"Yes little lady a table for two sounds absolutely lovely." Harry stepped past Liam and replied to the girl's question in a slightly mocking town. The girl smiled brightly.

"Right this way!" She led them down past quite a few empty tables. All of which had been cleaned and ready to be sat at.

"Not a lot of business?" Liam asked, him and Harry squeezing into a booth.

"Nope not lately." The girl said placing down two laminated menus in front of the two British lads. "Used to have lots of bikers come through these parts though, it's been awhile since business was booming." She winked at Harry who just smiled back. Well at least Harry thought she was winking.

"Awh well that's a shame, such a nice little place." Liam complimented, scanning the room admiring the decor.

"So what can I get to drink for you boys!" The girl smiled. Her smile seemed to light up the dark pub. She pulled a pen and pad from her apron and proceeded to write.

"Oh uhm well Cortney," Liam leaned in to read the fading name tag on the girls blouse. "I think I'll just have water." He smiled to her and she smiled back.

"Alrighty! And you sir?" She looked to Harry, motioning in his direction with her pen.

"Oh aw yes, I think I'll go with just water as well." He folded his hands together and smiled at her. She made a pouty face in return.

"You boys are no fun!" She picked up the drink menus off of the table. "You know we've got a great assortment of alcoholic beverages." She rocked back and forth, her voice increasing in pitch.

"Nah I'm fine, plus Liam here doesn't drink." Harry patted Liam's shoulder.

"Uhm by choice, not because I can't." Liam quickly added, his face a little red.

"Aw well okay suit yourself then!" She was just about to walk away when Harry stopped her.

"Cortney?" Harry asked.

"Yes?" She spun around in almost a full circle, causing Harry to laugh at her cute yet awkward motion.

"How old are you?" His voice matching her tone.

"Oh haha I'm 15." She smiled and walked away, almost in a skipping manor. Liam and Harry looked at each other with their eyes wide. 15 was such an awfully young age to be working at a place that serves alcohol.

The evening progressed without any problems. The boys were served their meals and were just given the bill when a, now, quite familiar voice erupted.

"Oh my god." Cortney stared at the table where the two men were sat. They looked up at her puzzled. "YOU'RE HARRY STYLES AND LIAM PAYNE FROM ONE DIRECTION!" She screamed so loud it was ear busting.

"Oh great haha" Liam laughed out loud nervously.

"I cant believe I just served two superstars." Her voice was shaky. "Please take a picture with me please I beg you. You don't even have to leave a tip!" She smiled and pulled out her phone.

"Well I don't see why not." Harry smiled wide.

It was quiet back at the lake house, it being already 8 PM the sun was setting, and Zayn was sat on the couch watching television. He was half asleep, trying his hardest to stay awake and finish his program.

"ZAYN!" Niall would yell every time he'd see the tanner boy's head fall to the side. He got a kick out of seeing him startled.

"Niall you oaf stop it." Zayn's voice was deep and trailing.

"Come on man I'm not even tired." Niall said obnoxiously loud, opening a can of some horrible alcoholic drink.

"You spent most of the day asleep of course you're not tired." Zayn scolded the Irish boy without even turning to him. Niall could tell he was getting on Zayn's nerves. He knew when to stop harassing the Bradford boy.

"Oh you poo." Niall said, turning around and stepping outside the back door. Zayn's head fell to the side and he was soon fast asleep.

Niall saw Louis sitting in the same place Zayn left him, on the swing watching the horizon. "Lou you've been out here all evening. Don't you think it's about time to come in?" Niall suggested.

"I'll come in when I'm ready." Louis replied dryly. No more needed to be said by Niall, he could tell when he was unwanted. He walked around the side of the house, stepping at the shoreline. The water sliding up to kiss his feet, filling his body with a cool chill. He was scanning the tree line when he spotted something.

"Oi Styles, Payne, that you?!" He shouted out to a smallish white boat that was approaching the island.

"Yes drunky it is I, supah styles!" Harry stood up and made a super hero gesture to the sky, almost falling over into the boat.

"Styles you funny lad." Niall grinned, sitting in the sand, waiting for the boat to reach the shore.

The boat came scraping up onto the sandy bank. "Niall I haven't seen you since yesterday!" Liam pulled the blonde man in for a hug. Harry laughed and was up into the house right away. He stared at the couch when he walked in knowing where Zayn would be.

"Zayn." He hissed, making sure the boy was asleep. He in fact was. He found himself staring at his slumbering friend for what seemed to be a long time, getting lost in his land of thoughts. He shook his head vigorously before he galloped up the stairs into the bathroom. "Styles you need to stop thinking about things you aren't supposed to." Harry spoke to himself in a very low tone.

He scrambled through drawers until he found what he was looking for. Two thin pieces of metal that were glinting in the light of the bathroom. Razor blades.
