Chapter 1
"Starting with that ugly scarf!"
"Once upon a time there was a frog and, a grasshopper...And the frog ate the grasshopper THE END! Now go to bed Regal." Lily commanded as she took the covers and, lye them over the little boy's arms. His short red curls bounced as he forced the covers off his arms.
"But, Lily you have to tell me a good night time story before I can go to sleep." His bright blue eyes widened.
"But Lily this, but Lily that! Do you do that to mom and, dad too?! Gosh your so very annoying."
"Lily. I want some warm milk."
"Oh okay. I get it. Your just trying to get on my nerves aren't yah?" Lily questioned. She bounced up from the side of his bed her long blonde hair flying up in front of her eyes, she pushed her hair aside and, headed toward the kitchen.
"Hey watch it Rose!" Lily yelled knocking into Rose. Rose turned and, her grey eyes saddened.
Rose's point of veiw
"I'm so sorry Lily! I swear I didn't mean to...." "Yeah, yeah I get it just hush up and, watch where your going next time." Lily said cutting me off. Her eyes shined a bright blue.
"But, Lily I really am..." "Uh huh. I know. Hey what are you doing up anyways?" Lily asked reaching up in the kitchen cabinet.
"Oh um.. Well shouldn't I be asking you the same thing? It is a school night after all."
"I'm trying to get our little "angel" of a brother to sleep. He's such a pain in the... Rose I asked you first though so, now you answer."
"Lily.. I can't sleep. I'm just so nervous about tomorrow." My hair fell into my eyes and, I stared at my frog house slippers.
"Oh. Yep. I can see why that is.. I mean we haven't been at school all summer! Well besides the summer dance." She laughed. Her face was so bright and, smooth.. Me well... I have no blemishes but, my hairs so dark and, dull and, I usually have to wear glasses to read anything so, i'm not as pretty as my sister. I can see why shes not nervous I guess.... But, all I feel is knots in my stomach.
"Yeah.."
"No! No! But, don't worry! We're the same age so, we're in the same grade! And, that means! I'll be there right by your side so don't worry about bullies! I mean if they do even try to pick on yah! I'll just sucker punch them all right in their pretty picture-perfect noses!"
"Thanks Lily but, I don't think violence is called for" I smiled.
"Okay what ever you say Rosie but, you just tell me if they cause yah to much trouble kay?"
"Um.. Okay Lily. I'm going to try to get to bed now. Nite."
"Nite Rose bud!" Lily laughed as she headed to Regal's room.
"Hi sis! Did you get my warm milk?"
"Yep! What did you think I went to the kitchen for?"
-Later that night-
"Hey sis? You asleep?"
"No. Regal? What are you doing still awake?"
"Oh. Well I over heard you and, sis talking about how you can't sleep.. So I brought you some warm milk! It usually helps me sleep." Regal said handing me the cup of warm milk.
