More Than I Should-Chapter 1

Chapter 1

LOUIS’ POV:

“Okay class Simplify 4x-x+2y-y=25” he said with a wide grin.

His class begin to raise their hands and call his name to get his attention as if they are very sure they knew the answer to his question, well he can’t blame his students for this is one of the easiest question for today’s graded recitation for their subject, math.  That made his smile even wider… if that’s possible. He knew very well the capabilities of his students, he knew their weaknesses and he knew the things they are very good to. Like for this day, they are having a recitation to test whether they understand or not those lessons he’s trying to discuss these past few days, algebra, they will start with the simplest problem and later on with the more challenging problems. He called a name and as expected the student got the correct answer. The class continue with a very lively atmosphere as he writes the problems to the board for them to answer. His students enjoy his class knowing that this is math…MATH, that’s why he’s so happy to know that they’re cooperating and learning something from him in their every meeting. Maybe he’s personality made it easier for them to learn, or maybe the fact that he’s not too old for their likability, or… the way he teaches or maybe because of he’s good looking face. But why is it that evens the boys enjoys the subject? Hmmm maybe the latter are only effective for the girls. Yeah.

 This is the second year of Louis here in the academy, he applied last year and fortunately hired even if he’s too young to be a teacher (well that’s according to the principle that made the interview). He’s only 23, very handsome, adorable, cute and good looking, well that’s the favourite words used by he’s co faculty members and students to describe him. And because of that reasons many, not only students but also co employees shows affection towards him, not that he mind receiving so much attention it’s just that there’s a limit in everything ,especially when the student are so persistent in flirting with him,  there’s a limit in flirting, simple crush is okay, the letters he always received from his students the gift whenever there’s a special occasion, that’s okay but when they tend to ask more of his time, like to go in a date and eventually have a relationship… it’s a no no way for him, especially to his career,  he enjoyed teaching so much to ruin it by having a relationship to one of his student or co employee. There’s a rule, No student-teacher or employee-employee relationship inside the academy, well that’s not the only reason why he always say no to all the girls showing their ‘love’ for him, the very reason why he say no??? is that because HE IS GAY!!!

Louis smirks when Niall, one of his students, a blond, Irish boy tries to answer the last problem for the day but struggling to find the right equation. Maybe Harry his friend notices him struggling as he raises his hand and offers to answer it for his Irish friend.

“Yes Harry can you please help Niall?” he say’s to Harry when he raise his hand.

“Yes sir.” Standing and getting the marker to Niall which he gave it when he reaches the board.

Niall look at him and gave him an apologetic look.

“Oh, its okay Niall, you did you’re best, it’s not like you did not study, this one is the hardest problem for the day anyway. “ He coos to Niall, knowing that it’s okay for him not to answer the problem. When he sits to his chair he gave him an assuring smile before looking at the board and impressed with Harry who answered the problem already and waiting for him to confirm whether he’s correct or not. He looks at his solution and checked it. Correct.

“Very good Harry, you can sit now. So guys, that’s it thanks for your cooperation, continue to study yeah? Goodbye and see you next meeting.” He dismissed the class before the bell rings.

That’s one of the reasons why his student love him and the subject, he always see to it that they are comfortable with him and talk to them like friends but of course not losing he’s authority as their teacher, he may be very  cool to them but he never allow to disrespect him. That made him one of the most effective and popular Teacher in the academy. The students love him, the principle and all his faculty members. That’s why he loves his job even if it affects some aspects of his life…particularly love life.

He walks out at his class and goes to his office to put all his things to his desk. It’s lunch. And when it’s lunch he love to eat at the cafeteria with the students (not with the same table of course…that would be weird.), that made him cooler in the eyes of not even with girls but for the boys also.

When he’s in the cafeteria he grab a tray and buy the usual food he eats and sit at his usual table. When he settled down he automatically saw the girls giggling not so far from the table he’s in. He sighed and gave them a smile that made them giggle more and act as if they saw Hollywood actor or what. He tore his gaze at them and focus eating when he saw a student entering the cafeteria, he’s juice almost fell on the ground with what he saw, a very handsome, hot, mouth-watering guy approaching the counter trying to choose he’s lunch maybe for the day. He almost choke when he tries to drink from the juice he’s holding, that’s when he realise that he’s checking the student who entered the cafeteria, he immediately compose himself knowing that there’s a bunch of girls watching him. But as he look at the student from the table he notice that he’s not the only one checking the goddess that just walked in. (He’s safe he thought, knowing that if they saw his reaction it would be embarrassing and they will know his secret) He look at the unfamiliar face again, (new student huh, he thought,) now looking for a table to eat and to his shock the student meet his eyes and walk towards his table!!! He looks around and realise that that’s the only table that is not crowded. OH My GOD!!! well he can’t help but play it cool, anyway it’s okay for him to share the table with him, he’s not that cruel not to share, and maybe he did not know that he’s a teacher, he’s a new student so that’s okay… maybe…
