Dear D,
So I accidentally bumped into you in the book store I work in.
I quietly said a 'sorry' and you just nodded. You looked the least bit taken aback to find me there.
Then I helped you get the book which you wanted and got the bill for it.
You hadn't spoken a single unnecessary word with me. It looked that we have really distanced.
Then you took a leave and I sat there in my cashier's seat watching you walk out.
Then you seemed to be hesitating whether to turn back or not and I looked down at the computer screen in front of me.
Then you called out and I looked back.
Your face looked expressionless like the time I bumped into you.
You mouthed a 'I miss you', gave a subtle smile and walked off before I could reply.
I wanted to say, "I miss you too." But I also know that I can't ever say that aloud.
Love,
Jeremy.
