'Alassè, I'm here.' Marthe whispered. I turned and saw her. She was sitting by a tree. I pulled my : it was totally dark and freezing cold outside. I sat down besides her: 'Do you have everything?'
She nodded, and gave me a bag.
Suddenly a light turned on in the kitchen castle.
'Oh no.' Marthe mumbled, 'We need to go.'
We ran away quietly. On the Yellow Brick Road we stopped.
'From here getting to the Emerald City is very easy.' Marthe said, 'Just follow the Yellow Brick Road. You're sure once you're in the Emerald City you know how to get to Kiamo Ko?'
I nodded.
'Okay,' Marthe continued, 'I'm not sure how much time it costs to get there. By koets it was around two hours. In your package is food for two days, in case you might get lost. There's also a lantarn. I thought you might need that.'
'Thank you.' I said, 'You're such a good friend, where would I be without you?'
She smiled lovingly: 'Zorg goed voor jezelf.'
'I will. Don't let Horrible Morrible hurt you.'
She laughed: 'Don't worry, I won't.'
There were many words I should have said that moment, but instead I just smiled and turned around. While walking away stak ik nog één keer mijn hand in de lucht.'
