Chapter 2

"No, this isn't possible" Sanyukta groaned

"But it has happened" Randhir pointed out

"What if they are playing prank with us" Sanyukta hoped

"Prank..yeah. Maya ma'am, our principal is sleeping in your room and kabir sir thought let's go back and celebrate picnic in my old room" he said sarcastically

"No.. But how? It wasn't working right? You said so" Sanyukta said

"I just came there seconds before you came. I hadn't even touched it" Randhir stated

"Wait a minute. But you said you have repaired it. Were you lying?" She crossed her arms across her chest and glared at him

"Seriously? Is it time for this ? " he asked

They looked at the notice board where news about new Dean had been put. Professor. Rao

"Do you really think we are in past? Sanyukta asked hoping the answer would turn out no

" I think so. We need to confirm. " Randhir looked around And found PKC sir walking towards them except for that he was young and wasn't that fat. Sanyukta got happy and rushed towards him and asked "What year is it ? PKC sir"

PKC's eyes lit up and said "sir ? You juniors are really sweet. I always tell everyone to call me sir, you were the first one. Soo"

Randhir cut in between "Today's day sir"

"Yea,yea.." PKC sir smiled and said "21st August 1991"

"Thank you" Randhir held Sanyukta's hand and ran as fast as possible to the basketball field.

he made her sit on the nearby bench and got on his knees...

"Okay. It has been a problem. We have travelled across time into the past. Time machine is broken now and neither of us know how to fix it"

She started to sob. She held his hands

"What if we talk to vardhaan sir ?" She asked

"No use. Vardhaan sir told he didn't know remember ? Moreover he is new here. It's their first year too" he explained

"Then what do we do ?" She asked worriedly.

Randhir thought a bit and then said "Professor Rao. The Dean... Let's talk to him and see."

She agreed and they set forth to Dean's office. They knocked the door and entered

Professor Rao looked up scanning their faces.

"I have never seen you before" he said softly.

"Sir can we sit and explain" Randhir asked. Professor nodded

They both took their seats and looked at each other of how they would tell him the truth. Randhir cleared his throat and started

"Sir, you probably wouldn't believe us but we are here from future." He looked up to see professor's face. It was still calm and he urged Randhir to continue further.

"Vardhaan sir is our professor. He had been repairing the machine which his dad made for some reason. We both actually sat there and I messed up few buttons and we landed up here" Randhir finished

"Can I see the machine ?" Dean asked

They led him to the time machine. Dean examined it for a while and asked "are you sure Vardhaan Sir's father made this ?"

They both nodded.

"Hmm..okay. Then I'll see some way of repairing this machine. Time machines have never been made before. So it will take time. In that time you can continue your studies here."

"But sir we don't have books or clothes?" Sanyukta said

"Don't worry. You can use library books and we will give some funds for clothes and stuff."

"Thank you sir" Randhir said..

"Well then, Introduce yourselves that you got transfer here from CITE okay ?" Dean asked

"OK sir. Our room?" Randhir asked

"Go to the room you were previously staying or your future rooms " he said

"Okay sir" they both marched together outside.

They were stuck here. They didn't know till when they would be here. Perhaps till Vardhaan Sir's father made the machine ,they had to be here. But professor rao seemed to understand and hence, their chances of going back to future had increased to 1/10.

Randhir smiled at Sanyukta telling her that everything was going to be fine. She too returned back the smile and went to her room.
