Chapter 6

Hallo People!

Another chapter and I'm back so soon... I'm so proud of it. Well technically I should be in bed right now sleeping cos I have a hectic schedule tomorrow plus I'm too tired for today but I really can't keep myself away from writing. Can I ? 😂

"Godd this is terrible!" Exclaimed Sanyukta as she got seated beside Randhir in the canteen,the next morning.

"oh mahn.. grab another seat. Don't ruin my day in the morning" sighed randhir grabbing a bite of his breakfast

"Shut up." She snapped "I smell so yucky"

"What's yucky supposed to mean in your case?" He asked

"Well , it's my clothes. Till when am I to wear same clothes" she replied"I'm stinking"

"Finally you're getting reality check. Aren't you ?" He chuckled

"Look" she pointed her finger to him "You need to get me clothes. I wanna go to shopping" she said

"Whoa whoa..get a grip babe. Do I look like your servant?" He rose his hands in air.

"For your kindest information, It was because of YOU that I got stuck here in 1991. It's all YOUR fault" she said stressing on word 'You'

"Who in heavens name did tell you to get on that machine with me ?" He asked

"It was you who challenged me. " She argued

"Not binding sweetums. Go, buy yourself some clothes. I don't want to stink."

"Once again, Getting the facts straight you're stinking Mr.Shekhawat..." she gave a pity expression

"Doesn't matter.Why do you need me to buy you clothes now ?." He shrugged

"If I had money, I would have bought it myself" she pointed it

"Aha.. What pudding brain you have. Do I look like a person in RBI ki main note chapunga abhi. Even I'm broke " He said

"I don't know how. But you're getting me new clothes and that's final" she said firmly

"Dream on sweetums!" He smirked and walked away

"Damn you shekhawat. " She sighed while she moves on to her morning class.

She looked around in class to see if Randhir was around somewhere but he wasn't anywhere around. She got herself seated in between Maya and Niharika. Niharika engaged her in a conversation but Sanyukta 's mind was pondering over where Randhir would be and how would he be.

What if he was lost around here ? She wondered

After the class was done , Sanyukta approached Vardhaan.

"Ermm.. do you know where Randhir is?" She asked with hesitation

"No I haven't seen him since morning " answered Kabir.

"Hang on.. did you say Randhir?" Asked Vardhaan

"Yes" she said

"He's not Randhir" Vardhaan said hysterically"He's ranbir."

Sanyukta analysed quickly that even randhir had lied. And she covered up "I meant Ranbir only"

"No no you clearly said Randhir not Ranbir" said Vardhaan"You're his classmate from CITE. You ought to know his name"

"It sort of slipped out of my Mind. We we're not that close friends" sanyukta shrugged

"But" Vardhaan started but Kabir interrupted "Let the girl be Vardhaan. Poking your nose everywhere. It was slip of tongue"

Sanyukta thanked Kabir and left the place panting. Where was randhir...?

He hadn't been to any class the whole day. He hadn't contacted her too. Well, the whole college didn't have phones then. It was only few teachers and some rich students. Maya and Kabir were one among them which made it easier for Sanyukta and randhir to borrow chargers and stuff.

Sanyukta became restless when it had turned almost night . She had a conclusion drawn up in mind that he was probably dead... she shuddered at the thought of that.

She got to bed and covered herself with blanket. It was past midnight when she heard a tap on the window. She assumed it to be wind and tried to sleep.

Just then her phone dinged "Open the window. It's freezing out here"

It was Randhir's message.
