Dinner

Aaliyah's dad greeted the boy standing in front of them, while she stared at the figure in shock.

 "Come in Uncle and Aunty." said the boy. "And you too Aaliyah." He said with a smirk on his face.

As the family went in to the house, both sides of the families greeted each other in such great honor except for Aaliyah of course, who was so busy looking around the house and trying to keep her eyes off of the guy in front of her.

OMG, he looks so hot in his Armani suit. Thought Aaliyah, she could feel the thoughts rising again in her head. She shook her head, as if whatever she was thinking would leave her head. She couldn't help but stare at him and adore him. But she hated him at the same time and she just wanted to punch him in his face. 

Karan saw her looking at him and he winked at her, checking her out. Aaliyah could feel her cheeks turning rose red as she started blushing.

"Come on kids, dinner is ready." They heard Karan's mother call. 

Karan sighed as he didn't get a chance to say anything to Aaliyah, while Aaliyah just ran into the dining room without saying a word.

"Do you need any help aunty?" Aaliyah asked.

"No beta, everything is ready but thank you for asking it was very kind of you." said Karan's mom.

"I wish she was this helpful at home!" commented her mother.

Aaliyah just rolled her eyes and sat down in a chair. Karan came and sat right across from her so he can get a prefect view of her. He could already tell that Aaliyah didn't want to be here but he ignored it. 

As everyone sat down at the table to eat Karan's dad called for everyone's attention.

"Well guys, some of you might know why we had this gathering today and some might not, so let me tell you what's going on. Today both of the families have decided to change this friendship in to a family relationship!" said Karan's father.

"Yes, and we look forward to seeing Karan's and Aaliyah's marriage." added Aaliyah's dad.

Aaliyah's eyes opened wide, she thought, was she really going to have to marry Karan? Is this really what she wants? She was told she was soon going to get married but she wasn't expecting it to be Karan. 

As all these thoughts crammed up in her head, Karan took of his shoe and slid his foot against Aaliyah's leg with a big smirk on his face. Aaliyah suddenly jumped up out of her seat, causing the juice to fall on her dress.

"Aali, are you okay?" asked her mom. 

"Yes, I'm sorry please excuse me." she replied.

"Wait, Karan please show her the wash." Karan's mom told him.

Aaliyah froze in her footsteps as Karan got up and asked her to follow him. 

This might be a good time to teach this jerk a lesson! Second time Aali second time, he made you drop something on your dress! You have to do something about this douche, seeing as how you will be spending the rest of your life with him. She thought in her head while she was following him.

They both got to the bathroom and Karan mentioned her to go in and then he followed her in locking the door behind them. 

"What the hell are you doing Karan?!" yelled Aaliyah.

Karan quickly covered her mouth, so she would shut up but she bit his hand causing him to scream now. 

"Owe! why are you such a bitch?!" asked Karan angerily.

"Because you are such an immature, disrespectful, stupid, jerk, asshole!" she replied getting annoyed and feeling hurt knowing that her 'soon to be husband' thinks of her as a bitch.

Karan pushed her against the wall and forced up her chin with his hands. He could see that tears were swelling in her eyes. "Oh, please stop this cry-baby drama of yours." he said harshly.

"Leave me alone!" she yelled pushing him away from her and running out of the bathroom as tears rolled down her eyes.

At this time, she had so many questions popping up in her head like, how will she be with him for the rest of her life? How would she put up with him? Why is he so rude and disrespectful with her? Did she do something wrong? 

She tried to calm herself down thinking that when she gets home she will talk to her parents and try to get out off all this marriage crap. She wiped her eyes and walked out, everyone had finished dinner and they were in the sitting room deciding everything. Aaliyah looked around and was glad as she saw no sign of that jerk.

"Where did Karan go?" her mom asked.

"I don't know." Aaliyah said coldly.

"Well, lets get going it's already pretty late, tell Karan to stop by at the house tomorrow and the children can get to know each other a little better." said Aaliyah's mom to Karan's mother.

"Sure will, see you soon everyone." said his mom as Aaliyah's family walked out of the car. Both of the families were waving goodbye, while Aaliyah's eyes traveled up at the sky but she noticed someone was standing in the balcony. She quickly looked away, feeling the anger come back in her. 

She got in the car, waiting impatiently for her family to get in so she can get the hell out of the place and out of the sight of Karan. Even the thought of him made her boil with anger because of the way he treats her. 

Aaliyah finally got home and she ran up to her room, making her parents wonder what was really going on but her dad decided they would talk in the morning seeing as how its already too late.

Aaliyah sat on her bed thinking about the dinner incident. A voice in her head said she should get over it because he's just a asshole who doesn't care about anyone's feelings. She thought no one has ever dared to talk to her in such a manner so who is he to talk to her with such disrespect. She figured she was over thinking and the best option was to go to sleep and leave the day behind and look forward to tomorrow. Aaliyah slowly drifted off to sleep thinking about positive things.

Karan, on the other hand was taking his anger out on the punching bag. His parents were asleep and he wanted to take his frustration out but he couldn't so he went back in the balcony and stood there looking at the stars. He thought about what he had said to Aaliyah and he regretted it, but she said things to him too so they were even now right?
