«"i don't wanna have to wait on you..."
Bryson bit down on his bottom lips and sighed, before going in to attack Paris' lips again. Before he had the chance to, his phone rang in his pocket.
"Ho— hold on." He breathed, putting his finger up to her lips. She stared at his without saying a word.
She looked at his lips longing, realizing now how much she'd missed them. Her mouth was slightly open and her breathing was slow.
He slid the accept button across his phone screen and held it to his ear, not taking his eyes off of Paris as he did so.
"Yea," he answered lowly, "Oh, uh, hey Reign..." Paris cleared her throat and looked at the floor.
"Ima, um, I-Ima talk to you later, ok?" He said, moving the phone away from his mouth.
[three years prior]
Paris sat on her bed, tired and very pregnant. Bryson walked into the room with Isaiah on his shoulders, plopping on the bed.
"I gotta go." He said to her, "Keep this little man out of my Mario collection."
"Alright, tell Reign I said hi and tell Caleb good luck on his performance tonight." Paris smiled, giving Bryson a kiss.
He nodded, "Will do. Aye, I might not be home tonight. It just depends on how late the show ends, I'll probably sleep at a hotel."
"Ok, just call and let me know." Paris said, rubbing her belly. He grabbed his hat off of the dresser.
"Alright, I love you."
"I love you too, Bryson. Tell me how it goes!" She called once he walked out of the room.
Paris didn't do much during the day, mainly just braided the twins hair and played cars with Isaiah.
Right when she was about to go to sleep, her phone rang and it was Reign's sister, Evelyn.
"Hello?" She answered.
"Hey, Paris. Sorry to just call like this, I know it's kinda late." She apologized.
"Oh no, you're fine. Is everything ok?"
"Yea, but Caleb's allergies are messing up and they have been all day. I've been trying to call Reign or Bryson but neither of them will answer. Is he their with you or better yet, do you know what medicine he's suppose to take?"
"Wait, Caleb's with you, in San Diego?" Paris asked, sitting up in bed.
"Yea, he's been here all week. Reign had something to do there in LA." She replied.
"My husband..." Paris mumbled to herself, "Um, I think I have it written down somewhere. Give me a sec."
Paris wobbled out of bed and looked around for the piece of paper with the proper medicine on it, when she found it, she recited the prescription to Evelyn.
"Thank you so much, Paris." She said.
"No problem. Tell Caleb I said hi."
After hanging up with Evelyn, Paris called Bryson.
"Hey, I thought I told you to call me if you weren't coming home."
"The show is just ending. Me and Reign are walking out now." Bryson replied.
"Hey, Paris!" Reign said from the background, "The show was great!"
"Yea, I'll be home in the morning. I'll bring you breakfast." He added.
"Can I speak to Caleb?" She asked softly, trying to keep her voice from cracking.
"He's uh, he's still backstage. I'll tell him you said good job, tho."
"Ok, Bryson." She said, barely above a whisper, "I love you."
"I love you too, Paris. Goodnight." He said before hanging up.
She walked into her closet and opened a suitcase, going to her side and starting to put things in. Hot tears rolled down her eyes as she looked down at her eight months along belly.
She knew the truth long before she had any proof but with 3 of his children and one on the way, her only source of personal income being a business that he co-signed on, along with Sierra, she didn't see leaving going good for her. Besides, she could never love anyone the way she loved Bryson.
She wiped her tears and put the her clothes back. She could leave and be miserable or she could ignore it and make the best of it. It was up to her to make the decision.
"I'm going to finish my jog." She said lowly, taking a deep breath, "Bye, Bryson."
She quickly walked out of his front door and started up the street. She was running and didn't even notice how hard she was crying until she slowed down.
"Just let him go, Paris." She mumbled to herself, tried to shake off the sadness that was overwhelming her.
