Within an instant, the world stood still and deadly silent. The moon never shinned so bright on a day like this, it was breathtaking, but also terrifying. The moon had a reddish glow to it, black figures slashing past it in a heart beat. They lashed out maniacal laugh into the thick November air, tilting their head back in utter joy.
"What is going on?" Sky asked saying it aloud by accident.
"The Infernus. Someone broke the Infernus." Lucas responded, crack in his voice.
Both of their hands clenched, ready to sprint to the Infernus like little immature children, dying to get their first while their hearts beaded so loud and hard that it matched to beat of their footsteps.
Without warning, their legs took of and sprinted like a cheetah running to catch its prey.
When they got to the Infernus it was completely shattered, spirits flying from every direction.
There was a boy standing in the way of it, right on top of the shattered glass. He clasped his hair hard in his fingers, standing perfectly still, not moving a muscle. And for some reason Sky began to tear up, trying to swallow away her beaten up throat that stung like crazy.
That boy, could it be?
Then in an instant everything was utterly terrifying again. Lucas lashed out at the boy, clawing and punching him with his meaty fists.
Lucas was going to kill him.
