Chapter 6: Before It All

Soryu's PoV

I frowned as I walked into my suite. I've never actually fought with Eisuke before. But what he did was wrong. He said he was going to treat Katherine right, but he ended up cheating on her. I felt pain as I remembered how heartbroken Katherine looked. I was deeply in love with her and wasn't going to deny it. I thought back to the moment when her, Eisuke, and I spent the day together. 

Beginning of memory

Sore's PoV

Eisuke told me about how happy he was to finally be able to go into town with Katherine. Him being my best friend, I was happy for him. But at the same time, I was sad. I would never be able to take Katherine on a date, hold hands with her, or do anything with her really. I didn't have any plans for the day so I sat on the couch and started to ready my book. Katherine came into the room, still wearing her uniform and I smiled. She looked so cute in her uniform, especially with the white bow in her hair. She walked over to Eisuke and kissed him on the cheek. Then she came over to me and hugged me around my neck. "Kathy are you almost ready to go?", Eisuke asked, clearly annoyed about the attention I was getting. "Yeah, I just need to get dressed", she said cheerfully, completely oblivious to Eisuke's reaction. "What are you doing today Soryu?", she asked, "Just going to read my book", I replied. "Oh you can't stay by yourself all day", she said. "Why do you come with us into town", she said smiling. "Oh thanks that ok", I said, really wanting to do. "I don't want to intrude in your time with Eisuke". "Oh you wouldn't be, right Eisuke?", she said turning towards him. Eisuke looked like he wanted to shout something but he didn't. "Actually I would prefer-", but he stopped when Katherine's eyes turned orange. That meant  it would turn red soon and no one wanted to be around when that happened. "Of course he can come with us", he muttered, clearly unhappy. "Yay!!", Katherine said. "You do want to come with us though right?", she asked me. More than anything in the world. "I'd love to", I said while smirking at Eisuke. Eisuke glared back at me. "Ok I'm going to go and get dressed", she said cheerfully. "I'll be back in five minutes". She walked out of the room. Eisuke immediately talked up to me, still glaring. "What was that all about?!?!", he yelled. "What was what all about?", I asked innocently. "Why did you agree to coming with us?", he growled. "In case you forgot, she's my girlfriend". "I haven't forgotten, I'm just ignoring it". Now really angry, Eisuke stood in my face. But I kept my cool, collected, composure. "If you make one move on my girl, I'll make sure you pay", he growled. I got in his face and glared. "I'd like to see you try". But then the door opened and Katherine walked in. She looked pretty cute. "Is everything alright?", she asked. Eisuke smiled at her and talked over to her. "Yeah everything's fine", he said and kissed her forehead while looking at me. I rolled my eyes at how immature and possessive he was being. "We were just talking about the auctions", I said. She didn't look convinced though. "Ok let's go then", she said and we all walked outside. We walked down and few blocks and we were immediately in town. For the next two hours, we were trying to convince Katherine to let us buy her something. She declined every offer saying while it was appreciated, it wasn't necessary. Just then I remembered something. "Hey Katherine, some of the men at the Ice Dragons had this made for you as a thank you for helping around". I took out the diamond necklace shaped like a dragon. It was purple and shined beautifully in the light. She gasped when she saw it and gave me a bear hug. "Thank you Soryu, tell everyone I said thank you, it's so beautiful", she exclaimed. I looked at Eisuke and he was glaring at me. She moved her hair out of the way and I put it around her neck. She looked down at it and then smiled at Eisuke. "What do you think Eisuke?", she asked happily. "I think it matches your hair and eyes beautifully", he responded. We continued walking and Eisuke started to smirk. I got a really bad feeling. He was staring at a girl across the street. Katherine seemed to notice it to. "Eisuke, what are you staring-", she stopped when she saw. "I'll be right back", he said. I looked at Katherine and saw that her eyes and hair were now green. "What does green stand for?", I asked. "Have you ever heard of the legend of the green eyed monster?", she asked, Then I realized what she meant. "Green means jealousy", I responded. "Yeah". "Let's go back to the hotel", she said. "You and the boys can play poker and I can make you guys omelettes", shr said smirking. This girl knows me so well. "What about Eisuke?", I asked. "Screw him", she said while glaring at his back. She took my hand and we walked back to the hotel.
