Aaliyah's POV

"Aaliyah who is his father?"

I turned my attention to my younger brother as I took a knife out of my shirt and threw it at him.

"And why in the fucking hell would I tell you that, Ja'far?" I smiled.

I looked back at Nadir who was about to sit down when I really took in his appearance.

God he looks so much like him.

"If he's your son why doesn't he call you mom or mother?" Sinbad asked.

"He can speak for himself..." Nadir said growing agitated, "I don't call her mom because she doesn't act like one."

"Yeah like how nobody calls you Lord Sinbad, because they know who you really are and refuse to call a bumbling fool 'Lord Sinbad'" I sarcastically replied smirking all the while.

"Haha. Very funny Aaliyah." Sinbad responded, annoyance laced in every word.

"I know I'm friggin hilarious." I retorted.

After dinner I looked at Nadir, "Nadir, go outside, and practice your swordsmanship, we have things to discuss, and you're not quite old enough to join in."

He left without a word and took his sword from its position next to the door.

"It clear that you won't leave this town without me..." I sighed, "but first I have a question... How the hell did you find me?"

"I already told you, I've been looking-"

"No. You said you been looking for me for years, how did you know where to look, when I left I told you that I would never return, and that if you tried to find me again I would run. So why did you look for me and how did you find me?" I asked.

Sinbad sighed and ran a hand through his hair ruffling it before he spoke, "Just because you told me to not search for you doesn't mean I wouldn't, Aaliyah, your speech before you left left me upset and unfulfilled. I think your exact words were, 'look, for reasons I cannot explain I must leave this country Sinbad, and you mustn't ever look for me. And even if you do find me I will run. Goodbye Sinbad.'"

"Yeah well you disregarded my wishes to stay away from the life of a general and official of Sindria and found me just to make me throw away my perfectly fine life I've spent almost 10 years creating here." I argued.

"And one more thing, all eight of your generals are here... So who is watching Sindria right now?" I asked.

"There are still some officials in Sindria watching over it," he explained.

I nodded as I asked, "And if it were to be attacked, who would defend it?"

"The one who attacked us has said that she will not attack Sindria for at least a month." He reasoned.

"And you should know better than anyone that not everyone keeps their promises, and yet you still have the audacity to put faith in people that have betrayed others before you. That is something that I have never been able to understand from somebody with as much authority as you, my foolish king Sinbad. But for this very reason, I will join Sindria in the battle against the person targeting the country I gave so much of my life for."
