The wind smells like the sweet scent of flowers. The night is alive and so is my mind. A whole new journey of feelings are about to unwind. How long will it last? Will it reflect my past? Why oh, why do I now hear the raven's cry? Screams of the people, fire to the steeple. Happiness is fleeting...

I am running from what appears to be myself, my red eyes staring right at me. My smile is sending chills down my whole body, blood is leaking out of my mouth. I hear screams and my double turns around, smells the air and smiles. She turns back to look at me and she stares. I finally gain the nerves to ask, "Why are you bleeding from your mouth? What did you do?" She laughs then says, "Not I, but you Rose, for I am a projection of you." I don't understand, I know she's me, but I speak in riddles. What did I apparently do then? I look to her again, but she had vanished and instead there was a box where she was standing. It had a note written in my handwriting that said "Open", so I pulled off the lid and saw its contents. In the box was a single picture covered in blood stains, it was a picture of my family. My mother with her strong yellow eyes and beautiful brown hair, my father with his bright orange eyes and crazy mess of blonde hair, and then me, with my killer red eyes and long, wavy blonde hair. I smiled but then the photo started to melt in my hands and I looked at my body, I was covered in blood. Myself returned in front of me and said, "remember what you did Rose? I know you do." Then she ran up and bit my neck, the blood slowly fading out of my body and I can feel the toxins from my bite fill my bloodstream. She quit drinking, but left me with barely a pulse. I fall to my knees when she let go of me and she stands above me hovering. She started to pick out flesh from her teeth with my claws. Then she grew a pair of her own and leaned in really close to my right ear. Then she whispers in a hiss, "You killed them Rose. Then you killed your soul." She raised her hand and swiped at my throat making deep lacerations. I could feel the little blood I had left start to seep out of my wound as it wasn't healing due to blood loss. I started to loose conscientiousness and she yelled at me before I died, "You killed them!"  I whispered, "I'm sorry" before I let out my last breathe.

I wake up screaming and Alice immediately wakens at my feet dropping her book, concern drawn all over her face. She gasps when she sees my face and says, "Rose, your eyes, they're glowing." I get up and frantically search for my helmet. Alice gets up and says, "What is so wrong? What are you looking for?" I don't respond and I just look more intensely, she finally lays a hand on my shoulder taking me out of my trance. I look at her green eyes, but all I see is my evil glare of red. I look away and say, "I need to go, my people need me. This was a mistake." She is taken back by my words, but it's true. I can't let anyone close to me, I'll end up hurting them in the end. Alice speaks, "Me saving you was a mistake?" I look at her, "Yes it was Alice, you should've let me die. I'm not a good person, I'm the worst person you will ever meet. I even killed my own family, so what makes you so trustworthy of me. I'm evil Alice . I have killed more people than you have ever met in your life times ten. So do yourself a favor and stay away from me." She looks at me with an angry glare, "You don't think I didn't know that you killed your family, I did. I heard very quickly of the infamous 'Rose Demetrious', the girl who will literally kill everyone just because." Alice starts to advance towards me and gets into my face, "You may be evil Rose, but maybe that's why I saved you yesterday. You have so much power in your body to do good, but you don't, you instead kill senselessly! So quit doing bad things and change dammit!" Now I'm mad and I get into her face, "Maybe I like being evil. Have you ever thought of that Alice. I bet you didn't because your world you forged out of these books all have happy endings in which the villain always looses. Well Alice, I hate to break it to you, but I like to kill. I like the darkness that courses through these veins, the power. I like the thrill of chasing someone down and savagely ripping them apart because that's who I am! I don't like to be the 'good guy' nor will I ever. Maybe once in a while you should ruffle those perfect feathers you have and take a walk on the wild side!" I let my fangs shine and I grab her wrist, inches from biting it. She looks scared of me, but that's what I want. Then she lets her canines show and her eyes change from her emerald green eyes to a deep and violent purple. She grabs my other hand and is inches from biting me. A single wolf bite is lethal to a vampire, especially an alpha's they'll kill you in a matter of minuets. The tension builds between us as we just stand in her library and stare at each other, inches from killing one another. Then she says to me, "Maybe I have my own un-ruffled feathers, but I don't show them to people." Then she lets go of my hand and grabs the hand holding her wrist and squeezes, making me draw blood. Immediately the smell of AB positive floods my nose and my stomach growls. I look at her now purple wolf eyes and smile, what is she up to? Her blood runs down my arm and she raises her eyebrow and says, "Well, you haven't drained me dry yet, so maybe you won't kill me." I laugh and say, "I have no motive to kill you. Plus if I killed the future Queen the wolves will have my head. Then again, wolves aren't as fast as me." I wink at her and she gives me a playful growl. She tells me, "If I kill the Commander of the vampires, I'll be bringing death upon my people, so I suppose I'll spare you this time." I smile at her and say, "Well Miss Farkas, we're at a stalemate with one another, aren't we?" She gives me a sly smile and says, "That's why we're better as allies Commander." I nod and then realize that she is still holding my hand, so I blush and she laughs. She says, "Can I actually make the Commander blush? Well than....I might have to use this to my advantage." I immediately withdraw my hand and she laughs some more. Then she asks me in a serious tone, "Why are your eyes so red now? Are you hungry?" I nod and she holds out her wrist to me. I need to leave and fast, I know what happens if I bite someone. I clear my throat and say, "I'm flattered Alice, but I can't... If I do, bad things happen that I can't risk." She's intrigued, "A single vampire bite can't kill a wolf, what makes you any different?" I slide my helmet on, "My bite has lethal toxins in it that can kill you with a tiny little nick. Well unless you're...but you're not. I don't believe you are. I barely even know you." She tells me, "Rose I have not one clue what you mean, you're talking in riddles that I don't understand." Her wrist is still bleeding from my claws, so I say, "You don't need to know what I'm talking about for now. Here come here once more and let me heal your cuts." I bite my wrist and say, "Do you trust me Alice?" She nods and I put my wrist over her mouth letting my blood fall into it. She is shocked, but she allows me to do it. She looks at her wounds as they heel and is amazed. I suddenly feel really weird like I just did some sacred ritual or something a long those lines. I don't know why because I have healed many people in my lifetime. I take my wrist off her mouth and laugh because she has a blood all over her lips; she looks like a vampire. She says, "Well, I have never drank blood before. You do something weird everyday I suppose, although that's not odd to you. Why do I feel so weird? Is blood sharing not common?" I shrug, "I don't know, I feel weird myself. Maybe you and I can find something out by the next time we meet. Now I really must be leaving, I have to check on my people and maintain order. I also have to figure out Marcy's death." She nods and gives me a smile and she says, "Such a busy Commander, I guess I'm lucky to have you stay as long as you did. When do you think we can meet again?" I sigh, I don't want to sadden her, but I also know my duty as a Commander is not to make meetings that go against my set schedule. She saved my life and let me reside in her home knowing I am a vampire and she seems to want my guidance. I decide on telling her, "I am uncertain when our next meeting can be Alice, but we will have another and I will come back don't you worry." I walk over to her once more grab her hand and kiss the top of it; a bright smile is plastered upon her face. I say one last thing before I leave and embark on my journey into the darkness, "May the bright light of the moon cast its light on you and light your path to becoming a great Queen Alice." I start up the ladder looking back one more time into her now once again vibrant green eyes and leave her staring back at me.
