--Chapter 1--

I walked through the tattered wreckage that used to be the city of Boston. I looked in horror at the burning homes and the crumbling skyscrapers, pieces fell in front of me. The streets were covered in debris and bodies. The streets were lined were them. Everywhere you look there'd be someones child, mother, brother, husband lying pale and lifeless, their arms and legs stiff stuck in the position they died in.

I walked faster trying not to look to closely at any of the bodies. I was scared. How could this happen to such a wonderful city. I've only been gone for a month. This is awful. I should probably look for some survivors. As I walked threw what used to be the cities best park, I noticed something moving in the bushes. My heart started to beat, and my palms started sweating. I walked slowly to where the moving figure was hiding. When I pulled back the branches, I jumped. There was a little boy hiding in the still smoldering bush.

“Hey... Are you ok?” I asked as I bent down to get a better look at his face. I waited for a reply, but no words escaped his lips. “You don't have to be afraid... i'm not gonna hurt you..” He looked up at me and smiled.

“Oh.. I no that.” he said with a some what sinister tone. “You should be the one who's afraid.” he giggled.

“Wha... What do you mean?” I was shocked in how much this kid seamed so sinister.

“You'll see...” he laughed and stood up. When he stood up, he no longer seamed like he was a little boy. His skin was veiny and blue. His bones cracked as he moved closer and closer. I gagged at the cracking bones. His smile grew from sinister to pure right evil. His teeth which had been pretty and white and well keep, turned brown and long. They look razor sharp. His mouth grew so wide that it look like a snakes when it unhinges his jaw. His eyes where black and look like the might start oozing oil or something.

“What the hell are you..” I screamed, I stepped back a couple steps an he stepped closer. All of a sudden he lunched at me growling and scratching me. His nails were long and sharp. I could feel the puncture the skin on my shoulder . I screamed in pain. I tried so hard to get away. I slammed my fist in the the creatures head. It let out a small whimper and fell off of me. I scampered up to my feet and started running like crazy. I held my still bleeding shoulder. I was crying so hard I could barely see two feet in front of me.

“How could that have happened? What was that thing? He looked like a little kid...i though...i though he...was just a little boy... not what ever that thing was..” I whispered to my self trying to make sense of it all. It didn't work at all. I was bleeding a lot and was now really dizzy. I couldn't stand very straight. I walked as far I as could in to a small building that used to be a 7-Eleven. I flopped down behind the counter and cried.
