Chapter 4

Tay POV

I looked over at Jas who was still primping. She was putting the finishing touches on her makeup covered face. I couldn't talk, mine was smothered too. Our faces were definitely beat. It
was 9:00, we were late but on time.

I felt my phone buzzing and looked down to see a text from Jay.

Jay: UM NIGGA WHERE U AT?

I approached a red light and quickly shot Jay a text.

Me: Be there in 5.

I started driving once the light turned green.

"You drinking?" Jas asked me.

"Idk. I might. You know ion drink like that."

"Oh thats right you just like to smoke weed." she said sarcastically.

"Oh shut up..don't act like you haven't hit blunts in your lifetime." We both laughed.

We turned down Anderson Street and there were cars all up and down the damn street.

"Damn this hoe deep.." Jas said.

"You ain't never lied." I said looking at the cars in disbelief."

I parked and we got out locking the doors. I walked down the street and seen Jay, Bryan and

some of their older homeboys hanging by Jay's car.

"Tay!" I heard Jay yell. I laughed and walked over to him and his crew, me and Jas arm­ in­ arm.

She smiled at Bryan who was eating her with his eyes. She broke away from me and they walked off into the party caked up. I looked at Jay who was looking down at me smiling.

He was already high, I smelled the weed radiating off his clothes. I hugged him and he slapped and grabbed my ass. I pushed him in his chest and laughed.

"Don't." I said acting like I was serious.

After talking for a bit we finally went into the party. Even though I had a strong dislike for Alexis, I had to admit, her parties was always jumpin. We walked into her what seemed to be a
mansion looking house. There were people from EVERYWHERE. I walked with Jay and we navigated our way through the party. We stopped by a table that had everything from jello shots, regular shots, mixed drinks, etc. Fetty Wap's "My Way" was blasting through the speakers.

"Tay I ain't never seen you drink."

"I have to drive Jay..you know that."

"Man..come on you know you'll make it home girl. Y'all don't live but 15 minutes away." he said

sucking his teeth.

I rolled my eyes, "Fine just ONE drink." He quickly picked up one of the red SOLO cups with ice

in it and filled it with some Hennesy and half with some coca­cola. I watched him pour him a cup

and then he handed me mine. I sipped from the cup.

I wasn't used to drinking so the first sip burned the hell outta my throat. I winced at the burn and

Jay laughed.

"Maybe you need to just stick to smokin ma." I laughed and pushed him. We walked around the

party speaking to people and sipping away at our cups.

"Well well well.." Alexis approached me and Jay.
