Just A Dream(COMPLETED)

The Beginning of the War

I was suddenly awoken by something.
I immediately got up and heard my mother's voice at the other end of my door.
"Peridot! Dear! You'll be late for collage if you don't get up!" She said.

"I'm up!" I said.

"Alright. Be down in five." She said.

I quickly got into some good clothes and ran down the stairs.

"Hey mom, I'll skip breakfast." I said.

"Well... Alright. Take care of yourself." She said.

I smiled and nodded.

I went outside our apartment and went straight for my campus.

I walked casually inside when my eye took a glimpse of someone.

Lapis...

I quickly removed her from my thoughts and ran off heading to my class.

This is gonna be a long day.

A few hours later...

It was lunch time.

I was at the library studying when I felt something that alarmed me.

The ground shook.

Is it just me, or the ground just shook?

The ground started to crumble slowly..

Oh gosh!

I immediately ran out off the library and practically jumped off of the staircase.

I saw all of the students panicking..

The teachers were trying to stay calm but the intensity of the quake made them panic as well..

A lot of students were escaping the campus and running off so I decided to follow them.
I quickly headed to my apartment and alarmed my mom.

She was covering herself under the table.

I joined her and after a little while, The ground stopped shaking.

I turned on the television and watched the news.

We are experiencing an unexplainable intensity of earth quakes we ad-

Then a man cut in.

The Overlord is rising! We must evacuate immediately! There are shuttles that are spreaded through out the Earth and there should be enough to handle all of the citizens! Please, if you love your life then cooperate! Woah!

The Earth started to crumble again. Onky this time, it's a lot more stronger.

I heard a scream coming from my mother.

She got squished by the apartment's roof.

"Mom! Hold on! I'll get you out of here!" I yelled.

I was about to help her out when she grabbed my arm.

"No. Get out off here! It's too dangerous! Get to the nearby shuttle!" She said, loosing energy.

"I won't leave you here!" I yelled.

"Peridot, Please. I can't stand the thought of you dying because of me. Now go pick up your things and get out of here!" She shouted.

I was in tears, but I nodded.

I started running into my room and grabbed all the stuff that I could.

I ran out and was about to get out when I forgot something.

I ran back in my room and grabbed a picture frame.

Mom....

The earth stopped crumbling.

I ran out again...

But nobody can be seen outside.

They must've gotten to the shuttle.

I ran as fast as I can to the nearby passage to get to the other town.

But Unfortunately for me, Demons have seen me.

They chased after me.

I was about to enter the passage when more of them can be seen inside.

So I ran into the city.

I hid myself.

Demons trying to find me.

But I was to smart for them.

Later, I heard gun shots.

The Demons scurried away.

I saw soldiers...

I called out for them.

"Help!" I shouted.

One of them saw me and was about to shoot.

"I'm not one of them!" I shouted again.

The soldier put down his gun and approached me.

"What are you doing here? You should be with the other citizens!" He said.

"I got left out!" I said.

He nodded.

"Come with me."
