Chapter 9: New Friends, Old Problems

I lay in a bed in the infirmary, I wake up to find myself strapped to the bed, and everyone in the room staring at me. "So, how's it going?" I say to Ruby. "Nothing much, we just had to carry you from that temple to here." Ruby replied. "That took longer than it was supposed to be." The blonde haired girl said, still sweating from their long walk. "It would have gone faster if Blake didn't stop every five seconds and kick the robot in the head." The white haired girl said. "I'm sorry, but who are you three?" I asked the three girls arguing over who made them take longer. "Oh, right, I'm Yang, I'm also Ruby's sister." The blonde haired girl said. "Blake." The faunas girl said while reading a book. "I'm Weiss Schnee." The white haired girl said uncaringly. I look at my back and around the room, searching for something, then I said. "Where is AR270?" They give me a strange look, then Weiss said. "You mean the robot?" "Yes, but don't say that when you are around him, he gets very emotional when people treat him as a thing and not like a human." I tell them, Weiss gave me a strange look and said. "It is a thing, it doesn't feel pain, it doesn't feel emotion, it doesn't..." Before Weiss could finish, a voice came from outside the door. "I do if I'm self aware, Ice Queen." The person behind the voice walked in the room, it was AR270, and I should say rolled in instead of walked in because he was in a wheelchair. "WHY DOES EVERYONE CALL ME THAT?!" Weiss screamed at the top of her lungs, she was obviously very frustrated. "AR270, do you have the chess pieces?" I asked AR270, noticing that I only have one chess piece in my hand. "Yes." AR270 says as he pulls out three golden pawns from inside his chest. I sign in relief, then I notice I have a cast on my right arm and left leg, as well as multiple bandages around my body. "What happened?" I ask Ruby, pointing to my injuries. "Oh right, because of you falling from the sky, we found any injuries on you and Beowolf bites that seemed to be very deep in you on your right shoulder." Ruby told me, looking at my cast. "Meh, nothing that a good healing could fix." I say, they all, except for AR270, gave me a strange look. I began to glow a golden light, my hair turning bright and shiny golden, same thing happened with my eyes, no wings popped out this time, the jewel in my necklace began turning into a bright golden color, indicating that I am in Peace Mode. "WHAT JUST HAPPENED!!??" Ruby, Weiss, Yang, and Blake yelled as I became into my Peace Mode. "Oh, I forgot to tell you guys." I tell them as I start glowing, the straps the restrained me clicked open, the bandages and cast start loosening their grip on me and fell off, revealing that the injuries were healed. "Ok, my semblance is the ability to control my rage and happiness to where it makes my appearance change, I call it the Peace Mode and Rage Mode. What you saw in the Emerald Forest was my Rage Mode, Rage Mode happens when I go through massive amounts of pain or anger, I seem to gain more powerful the more anger or pain I go through, and when I grow to much anger, I change into DEMONIC Rage Mode, where all my suffering and anger takes over my body and I have no control over it, so it makes me a unstoppable powerhouse." I tell them. Ruby then walked up to me and said. "What about your Peace Mode?" "Right, Peace Mode I have full control over, except for when I get to happy, then I turn into Peace Mode without warning, what Peace Mode is when I get so much happiness built in me, I become Peace Mode, I am faster, stronger, wiser, and heal wounds very fast. Then there is HEAVENLY Peace Mode." I tell Ruby. I sit on the bed, and Ruby sits next to me. Ruby then asked. "What is that?" Ruby looks at me with an look in her eye that makes you know that she wanted to learn more. "You see, that's the thing, I haven't been happy enough or died to reach HEAVENLY Peace Mode." I tell Ruby, then everyone looked at me strangely. I then reply. "Oh, right, I do believe that my Peace Mode would heal my wounds on my deceased body that it would reach HEAVENLY Peace Mode, but I'm not going to risk it, so I'm going to wait till I become happy enough." I sit there, then Ruby said. "I don't think you have to wait any longer." I was confused on what she meant, but she then came closer to me and unexpectedly hugged me, everyone was shocked, but I was shocked the most. Suddenly, I felt the happiness flow through me, my eyes turned to a light blue color, my hair turned pale, like Weiss, Angel like wings grew from my back, they were white with a light blue rim on top, a bright yellow halo appeared over my head, and my jewel in my necklace turned a shiny blue, meaning I reached complete peace and became HEAVENLY Peace Mode. Ruby still hugged me for a while, she looked up after a while and noticed my wings, she let go and backed up some. "Thank you." I tell Ruby as I stand up, ready to test my new wings out.
