Epilogue: Part Two

I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY YEARS LATER...

Narrator's POV

The hot steam splashed right into Violet's face as she opened the lid of the pot full of soup. She inhaled as the pleasant scent of the soup made its way into her nose. Ah, just the way she likes it.

She grabbed the spoon and took some water from the soup. She blew on it, causing the hot water to move. Needed some salt.

After Violet added some salt, she stirred for a full minute. Once she was done, she tasted it and was satisfied with the taste. Turning the stove off, she grabbed the mittens and shifted the pot from one stove to the other.

"I smell something beautiful."

Violet was almost scared until she felt the muscular arms of Gerard go around her waist. "Oh, and you made soup!" her husband said as he chuckled. "Yeah, well this beautiful soup can be yours," Violet said as she pecked him on the lips. "I'd rather have the other sweet beautiful soup," Gerard shot back too quickly.

"I think you already have," Violet said as she turned around and hugged him. "It's for you and Raymond," Violet added. Her husband was just leaving for the studio. He was in the middle of making a beautiful melody that he showed to her. And she abolutely loved it. "Oh really? Then I guess Raymond should be here," Gerard said.

"RAY! MOMMY MADE SOUP! COME INSIDE!" Gerard yelled as he opened the door. Their son was practicing soccer, attempting to shoot the black and white ball into the wall, as if it were a goal, when he heard his father calling him. Ray immeditealy rushed in, starving.

Violet setted the soup onto the table with a spoon, too. One look at the soup and Ray wasn't too happy. "Mommy! You know I hate bwocowwi!" Ray complained as he watched the warm tree-like green vegetables float. "Honey, you wanna be strong like your daddy, right?" Violet asked her son as she messed up his brown hair. "Yesh, but I don't want to eat bwocowwi!" Ray shot back. "Well, pretend these 'bwocowwis' are small trees. And you're a giant. Save the trees by eating them," Gerard said, looking into his sons blue eyes.

"Oh no! I have to save the trees!" Ray exclaimed as he chowed down on his warm soup. Gerard stood proudly as Violet gave him a thumbs-up.

Once Ray was done, he asked his parents a question. "Mommy, Daddy. Can we pwease go to Uncle Jeff's housh?" Ray asked with pleading eyes. "Well, Daddy is getting late for work..." Violet trailed off, staring at her husband's eyes for an answer. "Alright, alright. Let's go," Gerard said as he grabbed the key and Violet picked up her son.

"Come on, Mommy and Daddy!" Ray said as he ran towards the huge mansion. "Oh my  God. Will Ray win the race?" Gerard shouted as he pretended to go slow. Violet stared lovingly at their silliness. "The crowd goes wild as Raymond Rowe crosses the finish line!" Gerard said as he slowed down once Ray reached the front porch. Ray excitedly rang the doorbell. After a few rings, footsteps were heard. And five seconds later, the door was swung open by Jeff the Killer.

"Hey Champ!" Jeff said as he widened his smile. Ray was used to Uncle Jeff's scary-looking face. It wasn't so scary. In fact, he wasn't afraid of his uncles, aunt, or his cousin Sally. He was simply used to it.

"Uncle Jeff! Guesh what?! I beat Daddy in anower wace!" Ray shouted. Of course, Ray knew that Uncle Jeff, Aunt Jane, cousin Sally, and the rest of them were not actually related to him. He knew that they were friends of Mommy and Daddy, but he simply chose to call them like that. "Yeah, your daddy's always been slow," Jeff said as he eyed Gerard. "Sup bruh," Jeff said as they did the old handshake they came up with a few years ago.
