Adeline's P.O.V

It felt like my life was coming together perfectly, minus Bella's struggles. My heart breaks for her every time I see her, she is an empty shell of herself. Even with the brave face she keeps trying to push. At least her and Jacob are starting to reconnect even though Sam and Paul both have a feeling he will be joining the pack any day now. Letting out a sign, I sat up in bed my thoughts racing. I have three months until my 20th birthday, till I am suppose to become a full witch, Bella is a zombie still, more wolves are joining the pack because of Victoria's presence and I still didn't know how to prepare for my powers coming in.

A groan escaped my lips as I pulled myself out of bed trying to figure out what to do. Paul was on Patrol, I had the day off work, Bella is refusing to see anyone but Jacob at this point. "I need a shower." I sighed heading towards my bathroom, I turned on the water as hot as possible letting the burning feeling rain down on my skin leaving red splotches only for a second before disappearing. I turned off the water after my routine and wrapped a towel around my body before looking into the fogged up mirror. Something didn't look quite right, Moving closer to the mirror I wiped away the dew and frozen. The eyes looking back at me weren't my blue ones, they looked like embers popping off a fire, flecks of red, gold and orange dancing in my eyes like fire lapping around wood. Reluctantly I broke my gaze and grabbed my phone to call my mother to see that she was already calling me.

Adele: Adeline what happened?

Me: My eyes... they were blue one minute... now they look like embers, or fire...

Adele: *Sighs* Come Over, now.

Once we hung up the phone I scrambled to get dressed before making my way to her house. She was waiting for me on the front porch pacing nervously. I parked my bike getting off and set my helmet on the seat. Her hands grasped around my arm and pulled me inside. "Let me look at you." Her purple eyes inspected what she could see of me and my body, "This is going to sound weird but I need you to dress down." I hesitated for a second and stripped down to my underwear. A gasp escaped her lips as her eyes trailed from my rib cage to my ankle looking at my tattoo. "You are developing your powers early..." Her voice trailed off as she moved towards her phone to make a call.

Adele's P.O.V

Me: Salia I don't know what to do I need you here now, Adeline has a mark I have not seen before and her eyes changed....

Salia: What color Adele

Me: I've never seen any like it... they look like fire.

Salia: I'm on my way.

Once the dial tone came through the speakers of my phone, I made my way out of my bedroom looking at Adeline. She is not ready for the trail yet, not ready for the test between her Darkness and Light. My thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door, racing my way to the door I open it to see Salia, "Thank you so much for coming so quickly." Pulling her into a quick hug I usher her inside and introduce her to my daughter.

Adeline's P.O.V

I took in the women my mother embraced, she had silver hair but not from old age, she looked my age, and her eyes were the color of blood rubies. Her features framed her face perfectly she was striking. "Adeline, this is Salia she helped train me when I became of age." I gave her a small nod and a smile. "Adeline," Salia stepped in front of me and placed her hands gently on my shoulders, our eyes met as she spoke, "Your power radiates from you... You are going to be extremely powerful." Her eyes shot over to my mother, "I have never felt this much power before, she must be more than a witch..."
