Battle Day

Adeline's P.O.V

Today was the day we are putting all of our lives on the line. I looked at my two soulmates taking in their features, my eyes met with Sara who had a somber look on her face. "Sara, I know you wish you could come and fight. I need you here, I need to know you're safe. And I am not saying any of this because I think your weak, that's far from it." I walked towards her and pulled her into a hug, "I'm saying this because you are so strong, and you are going to be so strong when your powers unlock." I saw a tear falling from her eye, I was fighting back tears of my own at this point. "I love you, Sara."

She let out a small laugh, "I love you, you better come back to me. Both of you." I gave her a long hug and kissed. Paul did the same as we headed out of our house. I mumbled a protection spell for the house under my breath before we disappeared into the forest. The closer we got to the clearing I could feel my adrenaline pumping through my body, I could no longer hold back my real features from showing.

Once we finally arrived everyone, but Bella, Jake and Edward were there. I got off Paul's wolf leaning into is side causing him to nuzzle my leg. "Welcome everyone, again thank you for helping us." Carlisle spoke up greeting all of us.

"Of course, she's, my family. I protect my family." I earned a respectful nod from everyone around me.

"The best way we can catch them by surprise is having the wolves hid in the clearing until they arrive. They don't know you exist, same with the coven." Jasper spoke up this time. I nodded and looked at my coven smiling. "Where do you want us at?" Carlisle smiled and motioned us to follow him to behind the rock that was in the clearing, "I will need to have our scents coating you guys to blend you all in." We all gave our okays, getting hugged to get their scent on us. Then we took our place behind the huge boulder.

It felt like hours we were waiting until I finally heard Alice, "They're here." I felt my power bubbling inside of me as I closed my eyes, tons of shadows appeared in front of me, there were at least 20 maybe 30 newborns racing towards us. I snapped my eyes open and looked at my coven, "Lets do this." I growled out before we all raced forward into the fight right as the wolves came out of the woods.

Everything was such a blur, once the newborns were killed, I raced over to them and used my fire element to make sure they stayed dead. In between kills I would do a quick mental check of everyone around me. It seemed like the more I focused on my targets I would move faster than even a vampire, every move and blow I landed was lethal to them. After about two hours of fighting, we finally got them all. Everyone human was breathing heavy with sweat dripping from their bodies.

Before I knew it, I heard a low growl, before I could react, I felt teeth skinning into my skin.

No... no no no... was all I could think

Everything started to blur as I fell to the group, my body felt like it was being ripped apart from the inside out. The last thing I saw before my world went black was Jake's wolf being crushed by the newborn that bit me.

Sara's P.O.V

It's been hours since Paul and Adeline walked out that door. I've been sitting here anxious and hoping for the best not knowing what to expect. Out of no where I felt a pain spreading through my body.

NO... Adeline..

I felt the pain of whatever happened to her throughout my body. Finding my phone right before I got a call from a number I didn't recognize.

Me: What happened?

Alice: You need to get to our house. Now.

Me: What happened?!

Alice: Adeline is transitioning.

My phone slipped from my hand. She got hurt, because of Bella. She can't have a family with me and Paul, because of them. Those Cullen's are going to pay for this. I was on autopilot; no, I was in rage mode. I don't even remember climbing into the truck until I pulled into the Cullen's driveway. I didn't even bother shutting the door as I raced inside. I was greeted by all the Cullen's.

"Where is my mate?!" I screamed at them. "Sara..." I looked up to see a distraught Paul. I have never seen him look like this; tears were filling my eyes. I turned around and looked at my coven and the Cullen's. "What's going to happen to her?.." My voice was low and harsh.

"There's never been a witch bitten before. We aren't sure if she will still be a witch..." My heart dropped. She just started loving who she was as a witch, just to have that ripped away from her. I made my way over to Paul wrapping my arms around him, we held each other as we cried. "Do you want to see her?" Paul's voice was weak but still held strength, all I could do to respond was nod at him. He led me up the stairs into an empty room, the only thing in the room was Adeline, laying in a bed. Her warm tan skin now getting lighter. I sat next to her looking over her body and saw that her marks seemed to be getting darker. Feeling bed dip next to me, I felt Paul's hand on my back as he grabbed her hand to hold it. I placed my hand on top of his.

"What if she doesn't wake up?" I said not moving from my position. "She will. She has too." He nuzzled into my neck. I don't know what is going to happen next, but all I know is that I am not going to loose her.
