My Destiny

Adeline's P.O.V

I froze in place my anxiety was peaking as I looked over Bella's frozen figure. I couldn't believe what I just did. I picked up my phone and dialed my mother's number.

Me: Mom, I did something to Bella, I don't know how to undo it! I was pretty much screaming at her when she picked up.

Adele: Calm down what'd you do?

Me: She was about to go off on Paul and was close to hitting him, I froze her in place

Adele: I'll be right there sweetie, don't stress out. Salia and I will help you.

She hung up and barely even a few minutes later they appeared near me. "Whoa, ok, you have to teach me that but first." I pointed at Bella frantically probably looking like a lunatic, "What the hell did I do?!" Salia giggled and placed her hand on my shoulder trying to calm me, "Just do what I say OK?" I nodded, "Ok, face your cousin," I turn towards Bella, "OK, now picture her moving, her body language, her mannerisms." I closed my eyes, only for them to be snapped open as I heard Bella's voice. "I swear to go Paul you're dead to me!!!!" She screamed. I shot Paul a warning glance and stood in front of her, "Stop, he had nothing to do with me not telling you," I grabbed her arms to keep her in place, "I wasn't ready to tell you. I was scared." Sadness filled her eyes, "Why were you scared?"

A sigh escaped my lips, "I was scared of myself, I didn't know and still don't know what I am capable of. I'm scared I will enjoy the power too much and get caught up in it. In the beginning you were all I had, then Edward started pulling you away and the pack became my family. Who I confided in." I tried to hold back tears as I looked into her eyes, "I'm too young to be dealing with this, and so are you." I expected her to be angry with me for being selfish but she pulled me into a hug holding me tight. Her grip was comforting I relaxed into it, she pulled away and looked me in the eyes, "Addy you will always be my family, never a monster." She smiled at me, "I love you Addy."

"I love you too Bells." I smiled back at her. "Adeline I hate to interrupt but we need to train you more." I nodded my mother continued, "You could develop your powers at any moment." I looked over at Bella and the pack, "Only if they can watch." She laughed and smiled, "You want to show off." I laughed and nodded. "Okay, let's show them what witches can do." She pointed a finger at her self and she was instantly in leggings and a sports bra, she wiggled her fingers at Salia and I, our bodies now covered in the same. I laughed and smiled. Looking over my shoulder at Paul I could see him starting at my ass. Shaking my head I turned back to my mother and Salia, "Ok, what first?"

They both laughed and said simultaneously, "Shielding," Salia looked over at the pack, "Someone will need to hold back her imprint." Sam, Jared and Jake all grabbed him causing Paul to cuss. "Okay, now I want you to imagine a clear barrier expanding from your body, protecting you from anything. Ready?" I nodded and closed my eyes imagining as she said, Salia forced a flame on me, at first the flames molded around the barrier avoiding me completely. Salia pushed harder and the barrier snapped back causing me to yelp in shock as the flame touched my skin.

"Shit! I had it." I yelled frustrated, "Adele," Salia nodded in my direction. My mother walked over to me and smiled at my arm, "Nothing to heal. You didn't burn." Her voice was quite. I smiled softly and clapped my "Ok, lets go again." I looked at Salia and she smiled proudly. "Stop! You're just going to hurt her more!" Paul screamed trying to make his way over to me. "Paul, it didn't even burn me. I'm fine, I can do this." I nodded at Salia, she started the flame in her hand, I closed my eyes and imagined the barrier. Shimmery clear and it expanded over my body, I opened my eye to see Salia's flame rounding over my head over the barrier I created. She dropped her flame and I sighed.

"Wow" Paul's voice was laced with aw, I looked over at him to see him looking at me like I was a goddess. I smiled proudly and looked at my mom who had shock written on her face. "What?" Confusion coated my voice. "Adeline, you didn't just create a shield," She looked over at Salia, "Your shield was made of water. You can control water!" I smiled and laughed, "Can I try other elements?" They laughed and nodded. "First we will do air," Salia stood in front of me, "Follow what I do, I can control air and fire." I nodded watching her movements. She held her palms face up, closed her eyes, leaned her head back. After a few seconds she snapped her head forward opened her eyes and I was surrounded by a gust of wind. Salina looked at me with a smile on her face and brought down her hands making the wind stop. "Try to do what I just did." I nodded and got in position facing her.

I held my hands out in front of me with my palms facing up. leaning my head back closing my eyes, feeling a small breezing traveling inside of my body. The smell of the fresh air filled my lungs. When I felt ready, I snapped my head up and looked directly at Salia I could feel my eyes change to my true eyes. The wind that was surrounding Salia was ten times stronger than what surrounded me. It started picking up dirt, I put my hands down and mentally thanked the wind without a second guess. Salia looked at me with awe and

"You truly are very strong." A smile played at my lips. "Are you ready for fire?" A smirk formed on her lips this time. I nodded, not even second guessing I was ready to see what powers I truly had. Salia showed me how all she had to do was think of possessing fire in her hands and from there she could do what she wanted with it. I nodded at her explanation. I sat on the ground crossing my legs and closing my eyes with my hands facing up, I could hear Salia about to protest when I felt warmth travel throughout my body. I opened my eyes and looked at everyone. I had a dome of fire around me protecting me like it was a shield. I sat for second like this enjoying the heat that the flames were giving me before I extinguished it by closing my hands into a fist.

"So far, water, wind, and fire. Let's see how you do with earth." Salia voice was thick with challenge, but not because she didn't think I could do it. I smiled at her and as if it were second nature before she had to explain anything I dug my hands into the soil that was surrounding me gripping it softly, the smell of dirt and rain filled my nose and before I knew it, all of the dirt that was around me was turning into flower beds. "Adeline," My mother said in awe, "I've never met someone who can control all the elements." I opened my eyes letting go of the soil and looked at my mother. There was something else that she needed to tell me, I could feel it. Salia looked at my mother. "Tell her."

I raised an eyebrow and my mother looked at me and smiled, "Adeline, on your 20th birthday you're going to start training to take my place and become the leader of our coven."
