Cress and Thorne finally made it back to the Rampion. Cress only fell three times, which was less then expected. They found Scarlet and Wolf unloading the last of the crates and finalizing it on a portscreen.

Scarlet saw them first and said, "How are you?" Cress was holding on to Thorne's arm, wobbling along as she said "Better now. I'm walking without having to hold in cries of pain so..."

"Well that's good...I think. Thorne, are we doing anything else while we're here?"

Thorne looked down at Cress. "I was going to do a little sight-seeing, but now that Cress..."

"No, no. I can manage."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes! I want to see everything around here." Cress didn't mean for that to come out too excited. She hoped no one noticed, but she shrank back anyways.

Thorne moved his arm around Cress' shoulders when he saw her cower back. "Alright then. Are you guys going to come?"

Scarlet looked at Wolf and said, "No, I think we'll stay here. Wolf's still a little sick thanks to someone"-she gave Thorne a hard stare-"but we might catch up to you guys later on."

"Whatever you say," Thorne said, turning Cress around as they walked of the landing pad.

"Are you hungry? You should have breakfast." Thorne and Cress made it to the center of Washington D.C. Cress could see large white buildings, a small lake, several statues, and soon she would see them up close. But now they were walking on a street full of tourists.

There were several streets with shops, cafès, and embassies of other Earthern Union countries. She could smell all different types of food coming from cafès to her left and right. With all the aromas suffocating her, it just made her even more hungry, it being she didn't have breakfast this morning.

Thorne guided her into a small cafè with booths and an old fashion counter with bar stools. They found a booth in the corner and Thorne put in an order of pancakes and bacon on the table's portsreen.

"Pancakes? I thought this was breakfast." Cress never had these before. She thinks she remembered something about them from something she read once. She knew bacon was meat. Her breakfast on the satellite were always dry protein bars that she got tired of by her second month trapped in there.

Thorne chuckled, "Oh you're in for a treat. Follow me." Cress got up, took Thorne's arm and walked to a door behind the counter. "Captain, where are you-" Thorne cut her off by opening the door. Cress gasped at the sight. There were androids bustling around, carrying trays. People in funny hats were standing over ovens and chopping vegetables.

Cress was simply awed at it. Thorne smiled, clearly proud of himself. Cress began to go around-to the best of her ability- to see what each person was doing. No one seemed to notice her as she squealed with delight.

Thorne couldn't help but laugh at her adorableness. When Cress was finished looking around, she and Thorne went back to their booth. Waiting for them were two plates stacked with pancakes and bacon. Cress was wide-eyed and Thorne said, "Dig in."

Cress grabbed her fork and took a piece of pancake in her mouth. She closed her eyes and let the taste dissolve in her mouth. "Mmmm, this uz good!" Cress said with her mouth full. Thorne smiled at her and chuckled.

When they finished breakfast, Thorne and Cress did more sight seeing. They went to a park where Cress saw her first squirrel and convinced Thorne to buy her some peanuts.

They also went to some shops to stock up on winter clothes. It was already pretty chilly outside now. It was the middle of December and soon it would be nothing but hot chocolate and fuzzy socks. Some stores even had a few Christmas decorations out.

The pain in Cress' legs seemed to subside as the day went on. Pretty soon, it was almost 1800 and Cress was worn out. They sat down to rest on a bench and Cress fell asleep on Thorne's shoulder in no time. He didn't want to wake her up, so he carried her bridal style all the way back to the ship. They received some weird looks along the way, but Thorne didn't care. It was worth it.

Wolf and Scarlet were there, eating sandwiches. Thorne took Cress to her bed, kissed her forehead and whispered, "I love you."

Hi again. SO this chapter wasn't my best. It was short and nothing really happened. I planned it to go alot better in my head....but that didnt happen. But you know the drill, leave them votes and comments. Thanks!
