Detention

I sat in calculus on a normal average school day. Little did I know it was going to be the exact opposite.
I sat just in front of my best friend, Parker Robinson. I never really got along with other girls. Their girly
ways made me sick. Boys,makeup,diets. It all just made me ashamed to be a girl. I think that's why I got along with Parker so well is because we could joke about things like that.
The teacher came in late, we all were sitting down and had all of our things ready. As Mr.Cormer got ready with his lesson, Parker walked in. His black hair a mess, jogging pants and a t-shirt from his floor, this wasn't his normal dress it looks like he just got up. As he took his seat and started to get his things out Mr.Cormer asked "Why were you late Mr.Parker?"
"Oh please," he started "you didn't get here three minutes earlier than I did."
"I...I...uh..."
"Looks like your at a loss of words huh?" Mr.Cormer blushed and went back to preparing his lesson. I looked around and all the girls were giggling and whispering. Parker tuned around and winked at me, I rolled my eyes and whispered
"You know Parker, you could get into some serious trouble."
"Oh c'mon Lindy that was funny and true."
"Whatever." I said shrugging off what he said. Mr.Cormer got his lesson out and started teaching, naturally I fell asleep. All of a sudden something grabbed my leg and I jumped and hit the top of my desk with my knee. An unsteady silence killed the classroom.
"Ms.Blue," he said waking over to my desk I could hear Parker giggling. I knew it was him. "Were you sleeping in my classroom again?"
"Oh please," I started off just like Parker did "Who wouldn't fall asleep in your boring class."
"Ms.Blue if your going to sleep in my class maybe you would like to learn this in detention. I will be expecting you after school." He said walking away and continuing his lesson.
"Wow Lin, sleeping in calc *tsk tsk* that's a new low for you." Parker said looking back at me.
"Jeez Park could you be more of an ass?"
"I could, but no one could stop me if I started." We giggled a little and Mr.Cormer saw us
"Well well Ms.Blue your going to be learning a lot in detention today, one hour." I sighed and let my head fall on the desk.
"Woah Mr.Cormer that was my fault don't punish Lindy."
"Well then would you like to join her?"
"Not really."
"Then let her take her punishment and let me get back to my lesson without any more interruptions." he said getting back to his lesson.
I started writing down what he put on the board. A note appeared under my desk saying "Sorry Lin, I tried didn't I?"
I returned the note in a response "OH yeah totally, a whole hour with this dumbass."
Mr.Cormer just couldn't leave us alone. He caught us passing notes an took it and read it out loud.
"Well isn't this just your lucky day Ms.Blue, lets make your detention an hour and thirty minutes." He walked away and I let out a sigh.

After school was over I went to my locker to retrieve my things and head to detention. All of a sudden my locker door slammed shut,
"Well hello Lindy." It was Max, Parker said he had a huge crush on me.
"Hi Max." I sighed and walked away.
"Woah where ya going so fast?" He said catching up to me.
"Detention."
"Wow what luck I have detention too!"
"Oh joy." I sighed and walked faster.
Just as we were about to reach the classroom my shoulder was yanked back, it was Parker.
"Hey sorry for getting you in trouble."
"It's ok."
"You sure?"
"Yeah."
Just as me and Parker were talking Max walked up and put his arm around my shoulder and I jumped moving his arm.
"Woah baby girl, it's just me."
"Woah who's baby girl," Parker asked "Cause I can tell you Lindy doesn't like you."
I giggled and waved to Parker and walked into the classroom.
"Oh wait Lindy,".
"Yeah?"
"Maybe after we could go out for pizza as a sorry?"
"I would love that." I walked in and saw Mr.Cormer sitting at his desk.
"Aww Ms.Blue welcome take a seat."
"Yes sir."
As I sat down Mr.Cormer walked over to the desk I sat at. As he walked over Max walked in and took the spot next to mine.
"Hello Max, would you mind sitting a few seas away from Ms.Blue?"
"Oh...um no I wouldn't."
"Thank you," Max got up and moved "Now Ms.Blue your a good girl, good grades and haven't had detention before, what went on today?"
"Sorry sir, I think it was just Parker influenced me. I'm sorry it won't happen again."
"Speaking of Parker, I think he's being a bad influence.
"He's right your better off with someone like me." Max said
"Oh plead do you see Parker here? I didn't think so." Mr.Cormer said Max looked down and blushed.
"Thanks." I said
"Don't mention it. So I know you didn't mean to get in here why don't we just cut your time. I honestly just meant to scare the class, you know gotta keep that respect."
"Wait really sir?"
"No I'm just kidding, of course I'm serious."
"Wow thank you sir."
"Your welcome." He walked away and Max's head popped up and his mouth dropped, walking back Mr.Cormer took his head and smacked it back down on the desk. I giggled and did the same.
