All that Lily could think about all day was her dream she had last night. She told her parents about it, and asked them what it might mean. They both said stuff like, "You just miss your brother,", or "You should stop reading those scary stories," she didn't know if any of those made sense. Her brother always went to sleepovers, and this is the first time she dreamt of this, and she has been reading those scary stories for about three years, and she has had no scary dreams like this before.

Lily stayed after school to hang out with her best friend, Mya. Mya is 5"0, she has light brown hair, with sparkling blue eyes. Lily and Mya have been friends since they were two years old, now they are both twelve. Mya's birthday is May sixth, and Lily's birthday is March 14.

"Wow, what a dream!" Mya exclaimed after Lily told her about her dream.

"I know, I'm not sure, I have never had any dreams like that before," Lily said confused.

"Maybe you were just really tired, I'm not sure though,"

Later that night it started to thunderstorm, Lily isn't afraid of much, only three things, heights, spiders, and worst of all dieing. Thunderstorms are one of her favorite things, whenever it thunderstorms her mom lets her invite Mya over, then they tell scary ghost stories in the dark, just until the rain stops.

"Mom, can Mya come over, please?" Lily asked her mother as soon as it started to rain.

"Sure, no sleep over though, you have lacrosse at noon, then basketball at 4:30, you need to be rested up," her mother told her.

"Ok, ok," Lily said complaining.

Lily ran to the phone and dialed Mya's number.

"Hello," a person on the other line said.

"Hello, is this Mya?" Lily asked.

Yes, this is, is this Lily?" Mya asked.

"Yes it is. I was wondering if you wanted to come over to tell scary stories, since it's raining?" Lily asked.

"I'll go ask my mom," Mya said, "I'll be right back,"

There was silence on the line, then

"Get out of your house, or you'll pay the price," a rasping voice said slowly.

"Mya, stop that," Lily laughed.

"Mya's in the other room, and she won't be speaking to you, for some time," the voice rasped again.

"Seriously," Lily said more sternly this time.

All Lily heard on the other line was fast shallow breaths.

"All right, well I'm not leaving my house, but I'm gonna hang up the phone," Lily said warily.

The breaths stopped, and the laughing started, Lily recognised the laughing, it was Mya's.

"I got you, first scary story of the night." Mya was laughing so hard.

" You didn't get me, didn't you realise I didn't get scared," Lily said.

"Ok, fine, I'll see you soon," Mya said, " Byee, you were scared," Mya continued quickly.

"No I w....." Lily was going to say, but the line went dead, Mya had hung up.

After about a minute or so, Mya was at Lily's front door, Mya just lived down the street, but if she were to walk she would get soaked, so her mother had to drive her. Mya's mother is overprotective, she doesn't let Mya walk home or anywhere when there's a thunderstorm, if it's too hot outside Mya had to use an umbrella.

"Hello," Lily said as she grabbed Mya's hand. Lily led Mya up to her room, there she had laid out two flashlights and turned off all the lights.

"I'll go first," Mya said.

Lily nodded, and Mya started to tell her story.

"It was a dark and stormy night just like this one, in a town not far from here two girls named, Sophie, and Claire were hanging out, just like this. Their parents were out getting groceries, and their brother was at his friend's house. All of a sudden they heard a knock on the door.

"Quietly the two girls walked down stairs and opened the door, there on the other side of the door was a young man, he looked harmless, but was he..?

"The girls slammed the door shut and locked it, they then bolted upstairs and hid in Claire's room. After a few moments they heard the sound of a chainsaw. The girls looked at each other in horror as they heard the sounds of footsteps getting closer, and closer with every passing second.

"The girls screamed their hearts out as the door to Claire's room swong open and the man that was at the front door stepped into the room. The girls backed so far they hit their backs up against the wall. With every inch backwards that the girls backed up, the man took another step forwards.

"Then all of a sudden the rain stopped, and the last flash of lightning struck, in the small amount of light, they could tell that the young man, was their teacher, and he was there because the girls didn't finish the project, or hand it in on time. That teacher was very strict, and the girls knew why he was there, he was there to, kill them, that's what he did if you didn't hand in projects on time.

"Slowly the teacher walked forward, he made a slow hand motion towards his pocket, slowly he pulled out a... sheet of homework and handed it to the two girls, "You forgot this at school," he said to the girls."

Mya and Lily both screamed.

"Homework on a weekend," Lily said.

"Ewwwww," the two girls squealed at the same time.

"I don't know if I can top that..." Lily murmured, "But I'll try,"
