(A/N: It's 12:40am. plot twist has came to the update. What do I do now?)
*Cara's POV*
"Cara, wake up." A familiar voice said.
"5 more minutes." I groaned.
"Cara!" I finally noticed the voice, it was Kendall.
"Kendall!" I shot my head up and glared at her.
"Finally! I'm going to leave right now, I wanted to wake you up before I left." Kendall tells me.
"Why are you leaving?" I yawned.
"Because my mom just called me to come home. It's 6pm." Kendall stood up.
"Wait? What? What time is it?" I looked around and noticed it was Kendall and I in the library. Plus the two librarians.
"It's 6:21pm right now. I have to be home by 7." Kendall grabbed her backpack and stood up.
"Can I walk you to your car?" I yawned again.
"Sure." Kendall smiled.
"Okay, lets go." I stood up and grabbed her hand, walking towards the door.
The library is kinda close to the football field. Just then, I remember there was a game today. Damn it! The cheerleaders were standing near the library. They saw me and waved at me.
"Hey Cara, come hang out with us." Whitney, the captin, told me.
"Uhhh...hold on a sec." I looked back at Kendall.
"Go hang out with them, it's fine. I can walk to my car by myself." Kendall let go of my hand and walked away from me.
I don't know why I didn't go after Kendall. I just froze. I didn't know weather to go or hang out Whitney and her friends. I sighed and walked towards Whitney.
"Who was the chick?" I could hear jealously in Whitney's voice.
Here's the thing about Whitney, she likes me, but who could blame her, who wouldn't want to date me? Anyways, she always tries to flirt with me, so I just play along with it. She's great and all, but she's not my type. Yeah she's pretty, but to cheery and sometimes too demanding. I hate it. Other days, she acts like a bitch.
"A friend." I smile at her.
"Didn't look like she was your friend, you two were holding hands." Whitney said in a unpleasant tone.
"What? I can't hold her hand?" I asked in a harsh way.
"Never said you couldn't hold her hand. Anyways, she's probably using you for your popularity." Whitney laughed.
"Yeah right, she said she not into being popularity." I defended Kendall.
"That's what they always say." Whitney rolled her eyes again.
"Why do you even care?" I frowned.
"Because I'm your actual friend unlike that bitch." Whitney said in a bitter tone.
"She's not a bitch. You haven't even met her, so how you know she's a bitch?" I started to clentch on my jaw because she has insulted Kendall.
"When did you start becoming so defensive around her? I've never seen you two hangout before. Omg, you're changing. The old you was way better." Whitney stepped away from me.
"I'm not changing at all. I'm still the same Cara." I glared at her.
"Ha, yeah right. If you say so, lets make a bet. Get to know her first, then ask her out. In two months you have to ask her to be your girlfriend. And in 4 or 5 months, break her heart." Whitney crosses her arms.
