The Sketch Survivors: The Secret of Lint Corp

Ranging Ruce (A Mini-Chapter)

Soal and the Brigade had traveled to the GCC, which looked almost identical to the one Soal had seen back in his own Sketch World. They saw the Desks of the Armorillion again, still with Hands (who all thanked the Brigade for their efforts), and traveled through a portal back to reality. Apparently, Formal Un-Characters didn't need the Essence of the Armorillion.

They emerged back on earth, in the same room where they had first entered Ruce Range, and believe it or not; there was Asfen waiting for them right there next them. Thankfully, nobody else was there, so Moth wouldn't be caught. However, without Lucy, they had to be extra careful. Maybe they had left her behind. Soal would have really regretted that!

The new Sketch depicted an image of a huge tree with wide branches surrounded by all kinds of different environments and villages. "This must be Asfen," Moth said. "So let's get rolling!" George grabbed a map of Asfen from that pedestal, and everybody stretched and yawned. The Brigade members rubbed on their wounds from fighting Articulus.

There was almost no time to breathe before they all hopped into Asfen using the same instructions as any other Sketch, plunging into the same vacuum devoid of a recognizable feature.

Unlike in Ruce Range, the First Brigade had a head start; the fields were grassy, trees and food were everywhere, and everything seemed so much closer together. They didn't trust Lint Corp's barren map, but used it anyway. It looked exactly like earth, as opposed to Ruce Range which at first looked like an exoplanet's surface; and there were resources everywhere. They didn't encounter any characters, however- and they would be alone for almost their whole trip.

This journey was quite an easy one for the first week or so, until Emma jinxed herself by accident and they stumbled upon a sheering cliff, blocking their path.
