She watched as he paced back and forth across the living room floor. He ran his fingers through his hair, pulling it, then running his hands over his face in stress.

"Can you please," Ava raised her voice making Greg stop moving and stare at her. "Stop pacing and figure out what to do with.... this?" Greg ignored her and started to pace again.

Ava huffed and crossed her arms. "It makes me nervous."

"Ava, we need to get this out of here. We need to move the body. Help -" She cut him off.

"We? No, you need to do this. I can't help you, this is jeopardizing everything I have ever worked hard for. This will ruin my career if anyone found out. This will ruin my family."

"Our family." He corrected. She bit her fingernails, a nasty habit she picked up from her mother when she gets nervous.

Ava decided not to correct him. Greg walked over to couch and stood in front of her.

"What if someone found out? I can lose everything." Ava stared at him hopelessly.

"They won't. If you help me, they won't." Greg said on his knees next to her. Begging her with his eyes.

Greg's hand grabbed Ava's. She look at their hands, their promises shining in the dark. She closed her eyes, and thought to herself. She has worked so hard to be where she is right now. She loved Greg. Love was an understatement. She would do anything for him, they both knew that. But this was something that she might not be able to do.

"Fine. I'll help you." Ava agreed. Greg breathed out a sigh of relief.

"Remember, we are in this together." He said, kissing her hand. Ava sighed and asked herself, What did I just get myself into?
