Disappearing Tears

Tear by tear
I watch fall
Down my face,

As I stare
At a girl
Who is no
Longer me.

I see a
Pain so sharp
Its enough
To cut through
Her heart and
Her damaged,
Broken soul.

I see the
Tear roll down
Her pained
Facade. The
Mask that she
Put on
Everyday
Not to trick
People, not
To lie, but
To save others
From worrying
About something
That can never
Be helped.

She was sad
And broken
Beyond repair

But she would
Never admit
That she had
Quit living
She was only
Surviving

But her life
Becomes thin
And it gets
Harder to
Manage to
Stay alive
To keep up
Her facade.

She watched
The tear fall
From her face
She watched
As it
Disappeared

Just like she
Did one day.
She disappeared.
