Abby's POV:

I feel my face begin to heat up as I look at Nate friend.

The first thing I noticed was that he wore a blue and green scarf over his neck.

He was gorgeous. I couldn't find one fault about him.

His short brown hair, piercing blue eyes-no.

'Stop right there Abby! We have a situation to deal with.'

I hear Sierra clear her throat.

Shit, I had been staring at the boy. I break eye contact and look over to her. She wore a smirk on her face. I gave her a glare in return, and it only caused her to quietly giggle.

"I'm Grant," he introduced himself. I look back over to him and smiled nervously.

"I'm A-Abby...." I can feel the heat in my cheeks flare as I stuttered out my name.

"Sierra," she says introducing herself to himself to him, and still smirking.

".....So you're going to help Nate?" I asked him, looking back into his eyes.

He smirked, and answered yes; still holding my gaze.

"Now if you two are done gawking at each other-" Grant and I interrupt Nate.

"I wasn't-"

"We weren't-!"

"We have a job to do." He finished.

I sensed that Sierra felt like she was going to explode with laughter.

My cheeks continued to turn into a bright rose red.

'Lovebirds everywhere,' I heard Sierra's thoughts in my head.

I glared at her once once.

'She's the one talking,' I scoffed in my head.

We left the room, and Sierra started itching on the side of her neck where Nate had bitten her.

Nate caught me off guard, and sneaks past me to put his arms around my little sister.

She froze as his lips gave her a quick kiss before I could come up to intervene.

"See you guys at lunch," he leaves to his next class with Grant.

He was long gone before I could hurt him.

'That vampire is smart,' I heard more of Sierra's thoughts again once we sat down in our third period.

This time, Mr. Brown didn't notice that we had walked in late.

'Well, my sister was late. Not me.'

Then, I became lost in my own thoughts at the moment. My mind wandered to the blue eyed boy that we had talked about, Grant.

After a moment, I heard a small thud and looked over to see Sierra drop her head onto the desk and I hear her sigh in frustration.

Just a moment ago she seemed fine... she smiled over at me, and I assumed it was meant to be reassuring, but it only made me worry more.

I could read it on her face, and I knew we needed to talk. Sadly it would have to wait till we reached home and were able to talk in private.

'We need to talk when we get home,' I mouth to her slowly.

I hoped she understood what I said, and she just nodded. So I assumed she did.

The class goes by as normal as it could. I couldn't pay attention to the work, or learning.

I could only think about the memories that came back, our new "Protectors".
