Sierra's POV:
"Mom!" I shrieked as we both stepped inside, and suddenly I heard a short thud from behind me in the dark.
I turned around to find that Abby had fainted, and the berries we had found scattered all over the cold stone surface.
My eyes widened even more.
"Abby, WAKE UP!" I tugged on her shoulder, but my sister would not seem to wake up. "Please not you too," I refused to believe she was gone, because I couldn't feel her pulse. She smelled different, not the way she used to.
I suddenly saw movement from the corner of my eye, and I flinched. I made a backflip away, and find that no one was there.
I sigh, but then my breath catches as I felt an arm go around my neck.
I struggle to get away, but the arm was too tight around. I fight to stay awake, as the stench of blood grows stronger. I whimper, but then I saw strong visible light going near me. It hits whoever was attacking me, and he gasps from the hit.
As it passes, I felt it only an inch away from my skin. It felt like a warm bolt of electricity, and I suddenly wasn't scared anymore. I look behind me, and find a man lying on the floor unconscious.
I could barely see a thing, but I saw that this man was bald.
'Was this the man that I saw in our manor a while back??'
I couldn't see anymore, because I felt mom moving towards me while the blood was draining from her. I saw tears flooded her eyes, and she wraps her arms around me. I couldn't bear looking into her eyes, because I felt like I was going to break into tears.
She makes me look at her, and tells me she is sending people to protect us.
I wanted to question her why she is saying this, and what was going on. I couldn't do a thing, and then the flashback faded away from my eyes.
I woke up all of a sudden finding myself bursting into tears.
I bawled my eyes out as I sat still in the cold darkness outside of our cave, and I remembered more of our past.
Rage filled my heart as I knew the truth, Mr. K was the one that made us go through all of the hell.
We were alone in the forest, without a clue where our parents have gone. Our memories of them were taken away from us.
'What have we done to deserve this?'
I bit my tongue to hush down my cries, and I taste blood from biting it hard. Tears ran down my face, and they froze from the cold freezing air.
I coughed harshly, and wrapped my arms around my legs to keep warm. I didn't want to go inside yet till I calmed down, so no one will know that I had another flashback.
My eyes glowed a bright color of pink, and I tried to make the demonic glow go away.
"Shhh," I heard a faint whisper, and I look around but no one was there.
I was probably losing my sanity again, and I lay my head back down to fall asleep again. But the cold temperature was the only thing holding me down from drifting off, and suddenly I felt something warm wrap around my body.
I caught my breath, and looked to see that Nate was here.
I stared into his eyes, and wondered why he was here right now.
"I'm here to protect you, have you forgotten?" he smirks, and kissed my forehead.
I paused, and looked into his eyes.
