It was meant to have been so easy. He knew he'd messed up as usual as Liam's eyes crossed to look at the katana blade. The gleaming edge rested less than an inch from his face as the wielder's thick, gloved hands twisted around the hilt. There was little chance of rescue and even less chance of escape but Liam was resourceful. He'd gone through Plan B and was all the way down to Plan D. Greed had been his downfall, his fatal flaw and it had been a long time in the making. His move for the family business had been a complete success... well until now, who knew farming was so cut-throat.
Liam cast his mind back to the past few weeks and where he'd gone wrong. Murdering most of his family had been easy, laughable almost, as had scattering their remains into the field, the police would never be able to put them back together. He'd managed to pin it on his sister with relative ease too, a spot of blood here, a smidge of DNA there, then a rock solid alibi, easy! What he hadn't considered was that maybe ruthlessness ran in the family. The entire estate had been handed over to his on a polished silver platter, the lawyers had been pushovers. His treacherous sister however had had other ideas. Not content with the death penalty she had rallied together the extended family, known for their... special talents, from here cell and ordered his execution. All of which had landed him in his current predicament.
Liam gulped as the blade moved over his wobbling Adam's apple as the masked assailant smirked. His hand instinctively slipped down to his leg and gently touched the bulge that was digging into his leg. He pain and blood that dripped down his leg served as a constant reminder that he'd been successful in obtaining his mysterious prize. The blood that pumped through his leg had forever been tainted to a dark, sticky green that oozed from the gash in his leg where the seed had ripped a hole in his leg. What the seed was and why it was so important Liam did not know, all that his knew is that he wanted it and wanted it more than anything else in the world. It was something he was willing to and would give his life for.
Liam was snapped out of his memories and the warmth that filled him from the seed by a flash of silver movement as the blade was forced through his skull with a sickening rush.
It is Liam that I, Kronus, King of the Titans, have chosen as my host. Through him I shall lead my brothers and sisters to victory. We shall have our revenge and cleanse the world of evil. I shall return to my rightful place as King and ruler of the cosmos. Attend to me and feel my wrath!
